Look Mellen does have a point about all of the videos flooding the market and the laws. The big deal is that if you are putting a video together with other stunt teams in it you should at least have written permission. personally your trailer is ok but it is a little old-school especially when everyone and their mother has JD2 to compare it to. Also I think all that YZFRone was trying to do was give you all pointer on how to go about putting together a compilation video and TL is just not smart enough to understand that. Don't take it personally but the truth hurts.

If you would of talked to me I would of told you NO because we are working on our own video.

Wow....talk about some definate drama. Sounds like yzfrone was trying to offer up some advice originally and it came across harsh which spark the pissing contest.

Let it go people...let it go. I think this has been clarified both from a personal and legal standpoint.

As for the trailer....the editing was good, not great, good. The tricks were cool and seeing women is never a bad thing.

well its hard to put a bunch of effects into a 950 meg traler, then compress it to 16 megs and still see the ****. there is some cool **** in there you just lose some of it when the file gets compressed. the full size traler is on the DVD

 

YZFRONE was not giving out pointers, he was saying not to use the clips because i had never talked to you guys, which was not the case.

Yeah...just good. I worked/work in video post production so I may have an overly critical eye for these things. Considering you are new to it you did a good job.

As for the effects (again, that was/is my job...graphic design and animation for tv/web).......... you can do effects and retain quality. Depending on what you are going for you desing graphics to fit that, last thing you want is effects that take away from what you are seeing.

You just need the right codec when you go to make the movie for posting/streaming. If not a specific codec you can use something like Media Cleaner to compress your file using a more generic codec. It allows you to preview so you can try different compressions/codecs until you find something you like.

yea i have cleaner, i tried like 15 times with different settings. i would get a real shitty one that was like 2 megs, then i would only go like one setting up in quality and then the audio would be all ****ed up, then the next level setting and the file would jump to like 200 megs. it was ****in pising me off. then i went back to premier and used its own compression **** and it came out like you see it. i went back and changed some of the effects and had to make some of the flash clips longer, because under compression some of it would not show up.

on the MPZ circle wheelie, there is a flash then a ghosting then flash and back to normal, it looked tight in premier, but after compression it just looks like the camera went out of focus.
but hey, i have a full time job, and it aint in video editing, so i was happy with the way it turned out.
the vid itself has some pretty cool after effects effects in it, but i tried not to use to much, one complicated effect after another not only takes alot of time, but takes away from the raw footage.

it don't **** me off when people say this is bad and this is good, its hard to get a honest opinion, most people just want suck your **** in hopes they get a free copy.lol

 

Ah....well at least you took the right steps. Using cleaner to get a good compression can be a bit tricky. It takes some playing around with. As for compression out of premeire......the Indeo 5.11 codec is pretty good but even better than that is the XVID codec. It works really well and you can just install it and select it as you go to export it from premeire.
