question on those coasters.....are you constantly on your rear brake? and if so does it fade out real bad?

yep, cause you always think its way longer than it is. About 2 weeks ago I was coastin, i thought i had an easy 300 feet. It was 208 when we measured it.

Im up to about 250 right now, I need a longer spot to really kick it.

Sweet Video though - what gear you commin' in at?

***jaxon23 question on those coasters.....are you constantly on your rear brake? and if so does it fade out real bad? ****

Nope, cause in a good coaster ur really not even on the brake. THere is a sweet spot that the bike just hangs. You ride a coaster to high, and ur gonna burn all ur speed off w/ the brake.

****, i commented but i guess i never watched it. that is a long coaster. have you measured it?

i'm scared to do fast coasters.....seems like i'll lose control when i grab the clutch. i'm also worried when i grab the clutch i wo'nt have enough brake pressure and the bar will slam down causing a bad accident. any advice on how to start doing them? like, what things to start working on to build up to that.

just start working on them slow... just do a regular 12 and pull in the clutch and coast to a stop. Once you start getting them you can start addin speed.

they're fun
