yeah, but it still eats resources... better to transcode it to another format...

I am using an AVCHD cam as a second cam on the project I am shooting now...shooting AVCHD and then converting it to a P2 format...runs much better that way...

i got a JVC GZ-HD7 ILL LET GO FOR 650 FIRM. Come with two 5 hour batt's and 1 10 hr batt's. Also 2 extra lense caps one wide angle and one zoom.

Just get a 3CCD somthing. In less your going to spend like 4 to 6 racks. The lens our so cheap on the small ones who cares if it's HD. Look at GL1, GL2, XL1, XL2 on ebay.

I just looked at the links you posted up and the Sony is like mine in that it records in AVCHD format. That is a pain in the *** and not a lot of editing programs are compatible with that yet. Final Cut Pro is so if you have a mac and get FCP youre good to do. From what little I know of this format, this will be the direction things are heading but its just not there now so if I were you (I wish I did) I would get something that didnt use this compression method.

go the same one the new ones have 120gs mine has 80 and is allmost imposible to fill in a day.... nice are they still using the .tod and .mov files i coulden figgure it out pay computer guy to install this other software to convert.. it sucked at first but love it now i love how you can deleat instead of buy tapes all the time much eazyer to use in longrun.... haven found any luck on lenses i want a good fish eye and a wide zoom... but in all awsome cam

what did they get you for it mine was 1200.00 first year out
