the pavement at this particular spot is MINT. not dirty like the West coast comps i've been to. my other vids are also all clean pavement....it doesn't get much stickier than what you see there.

i've drifted everything from a michelin road, maxxis supermax, pirelli supercorsa race compound, dunlop 208's, dunlop qualifiers, pilot powers, the older pilots.

it matters, but not really. you just have to find the sweet spot....qualifiers are a bit too sticky for my taste though. the best rear tire i've run is the maxxis supermax. grips awesome in fast O's, burns nice, and drifts like a champ.

the biggest factor by far is psi...i'll let yo uguys figure out what works the best

PSI??/ I run 20-22 in the rear. I think that may be too low for drifting?

i'll have to try this maxxis supermax, ive also drifted qualifiers but like you said a bit to sticky, can get alittle sketch sometimes as far as psi we run 32psi for everything,i think that should be good enough i just get tierd of guy's out there running a hard compound touring tire and everyone think's the guy is a drift god,not saying you teach, but i have had tire's or slippery pavement at time's and within minute's drifted every way possible no problem

haha, i hear ya man and i'm right there with ya. shitty tires and dirty pavement and suddenly everyone is a drift king. in vegas it wasnt even worth it cuz my grandma cuolda drifted the lot. going around it cirlces sucks, pavements gotta be good enough to actually grip and give you traction so you can accelerate.

and whoever asked 32 psi is good and is usually the magic number up front and otu back...i just like it a little higher for my personal style
