3. 18 psi tire pressure
4. Michelin M1 tire
5. Ferodo street pads with stock rotors and 929 calipers
6. 2003....almost 4 years ago.
7. Nags, my offical referee along with Brock Catronio...One of the original high-rollers.
In my opinion, I don't see how I could have bettered this stoppie unless I had an additional 10mph or so on it. I'm confident I could not have rolled it any higher without going over pretty much the entire time, from pickup to where I put it down. I appreciate all the compliments and props I've received over the years regarding this clip. I check it out every once and a while and it's pretty much the only thing I've ever done in my life that I still go "damn...that was crazy" when I watch it or think about it. I woke up one day and told Brock and Nags "we're going to the spot...I'm going to break the world record today." To me, it represents the passion and drive that we have for this sport. The torch was passed to Ryan Cramer, then Bill D. I'm glad to see that today, there is as much pride and props given to the stoppie because in my opinion, it is the hardest and most dangerous stunt you can do on a bike. For those about to roll...I salute you. I like to see the progression and am glad to have been a part of it.
Thanks again.

Re: Long Stoppies!!!
One of the few videos that will NEVER get old! I dont think stoppies can get any better than that seriously, looks like ur barely touching front break! And the speed, **** rolling almost 1000feet from 85 mph sounds impossible! I remember when the vid came out shitload of squids were calling it BS "coz some guy rolled less with a 100mph pick up speed"...maybe B dill can roll them longer but ****, hes going like million miles/h
truelly awsome clip that i will always have on my comp!:YEAH

The other thing people don't realize is that Gorka was picking it up a solid 75ft before the pickup every single time. That stoppie was well over 1000ft:YEAH

Re: Long Stoppies!!!
sick, i love that clip. just another example of it aint the bike, its the rider. people ask me why i dont swap to inverted forks on my 03 rr and i think of this clip every time. if i cant do it with stock front end, better parts arent gonna make the difference...
Re: Long Stoppies!!!
of course...much respect to the OG's like Gorka i'll even give props to Nags for being in that vid to witness it first hand lol
