STUNTWARS CONSTRUCTIVE INPUT (Post Here)
Re: STUNTWARS CONSTRUCTIVE INPUT (Post Here)
no need for pro and am. have a qualifiying day. if you dont qualify, you dont go to the finals. (next day) Set out a certain amount of slots for finals in each event, and stick to it. And no "freebies" because a "pro" rider got too s-faced the night before and didnt hack the qualifying run.

another cue from stuntfest that is a great idea!
CAN it happen, of course, worked great there. WILL it happen?!?!... depends on how organized SW is this year...

Comp:
Have two qualifiers, one on Friday afternoon and one on Saturday morning, top 10 riders from each day moves on to the finals. That way the crowd doesn't have to sit through 125+ riders in one sitting. For those that get there early can qualify Friday and the ones that cant get the time off get Saturday. Its up to the rider which day they want to go; but only get one chance to qualify.
Or, preregister only for the events. People know ahead of time if they are going to compete so why wait till the last minute. Close it a week before the event. You can then schedule out each day before the event hits. You will know how many riders to expect for each event and how long it should take. You can then have passes and rules waiting for competitors.
Spectators:
Get misting tents or something for people to escape the sun, if there is some this year. If its going to be cold get heat lamps and have them through out the event. Also, have more food vendors and facilities for the crowds.
Announce the scores so people know what’s happening as the event is going on. Get the crowd involved more with the event.

im felling this ****, theres some good *** ideas. but out of curiosity. how quickly do you expect these changes to take effect? granted we have a few months till SW. you think a large portion of these things are possible by then. or are we pushing for these to be completed by 08?
Re: STUNTWARS CONSTRUCTIVE INPUT (Post Here)
Todd, thank you for the post.
Pro invitational with free entry for those who are invited plus a small base to cover gas and some expenses.
Payouts should go deeper. I personally would like to see some of the team event money go into individual. Team is sort of a bonus just for fun event in my eyes.
Tandem payouts should be pushed into other classes. Not that tandem is bad, I like to see it but if you consider the amount of riders who work very hard at individual runs VS the few tandem teams out there the ratio is overbearing.
The track venue has been changed, good start. Free practice would be nice but not necessary.
XDL rules would be nice, also a multi coast judging panel would help considerably.
Free mini booths for the pro class riders so they have a chance to recoup funds. I'm sure you know already because you've traveled but I've spent an average of 1,200 to go to SW when all is said and done.
In regards to the pro class if that was implemented perhaps wildcard spots for those who didn't get the invite but are still worthy.
Also a guest pass for those who are competing would be gracious. If you're traveling all the way from the west you normally don't do it alone and it sucks to have your help pay.
