Agreed.

Darius was on point with pro riders getting in for free too. Those riders are the ones who are bringing in the crowd. They should get paid, not the other way around.

tandem events are only exciting when there is a wreck (given that no one gets hurt) .

unfortunately there are limited tricks with tandem...

Re: STUNTWARS CONSTRUCTIVE INPUT (Post Here)

better surface
no entry fees for pro riders
pro and am class
not running the event till 10pm
bigger payouts
free practice

+

new location (bigger area, hopefully the other track at lakeland will make up for all this)
1 or 2 mechanic / guest pass with pro rider entry
possibly run it more like a show for the crowd
autograph meet and greet the riders walk thru on the track for fans
top 10 payouts

+
hotel fees paid for darius and I for the week stay prior to the event
the keys to your hummer
3 cases of water
a hot air balloon
snorkel gear
and a cake (since jan 10th is my birthday)

Finally we are getting some good, constructive ideas about how to make stuntwars better...

I like the site and vendor map idea

Free practice, or a one time fee for the week's practice

a large covered area with picnic tables

Pro and Am classes

If you are in team event, you don't have to pay for ind. freestyle.

Re: STUNTWARS CONSTRUCTIVE INPUT (Post Here)

payouts should go deeper into the field. 1st-4th is garbage when there is TONS of talent there that travel from far away. It sucks when someone is only 50-100 feet short of 1st in long stoppie and they get nothing!!!

Talent is deep = payouts should go deep... i say 8th place would be nice to see for THIS year... farther in the years after.

Free practice and entry into the track for competing riders is a must too!

set a schedule, stick to it, be organized, get the thing done on time/before dark!!!

Scoring for ind. freestyle should be done just like it was done at Starboyz Stuntfest... a judge for each category scoring 1-10 in that category only!!! Best/most fair judging i have seen to date!!!

I probably wont be able to make it but i'd like to see it get better for those that do make the sacrafices and travel every year!!!

Like 9th place ribbons (Meet The Fockers)

But seriously, if you cam 100 feet from the 4th place guy, I dont think you deserve a piece of the pie. maybe a participation plaque if you need to be recognized, but you should go home and practice harder for next year...

imaging if the NBA, NFL, MLB and all other sports organizations gave out rings for 1-8th place?

AMA motocross pays the whole field... 40 positions... at every race... 28 times a year (moto and supercross)... much bigger payouts too

Tough to compare those with stuntriding when the average pay for riders is usually negative.

I agree with John on this.

I think most people know if they're Pro or Am.

As for stuntwars...make it invite only for pro (like XDL) and there will be no confusion.

Hard to say since there is no sanctioning body for stuntriding yet.

Usually its up to the event co-ordinator to invite who he wants to compete in the "pro" class IF it's going to be limited.

For now either everyone in one class or run an "Am" class WITH NO PAYOUTS so that there are no sandbaggers just trying to make a buck.
