what would you of said 1-2 years ago when mana wanted to borrow someones bike .. he was a no name .. so would he of came in the am division , kill it then got no money but a throphy? then been invited back the following year as pro ?

he wasnt a big time name but since he wasnt would that put him in the am classification ?

i understand where darius is coming from its always good to see that underdog come out the blue and have everyone like who the hell is that guy

 

yes that would have put him in the AM classification. Kinda like when sport stars today are in highschool and college and they dont get paid until they are proven to be a pro

 

Just kinda going off of how many riders there are competeing in the XDL comp. Some could probably be weeded out, I figure about 30 riders give or take.

 

when did i say that stoppies aren't hard? i'm just sick of the same comps over and over again...every comp has the same thing. there are actually more events than the normal 4. i could see making a standardized comp if it is a series of events leading to an over-all champion at the end, but other than that it would be nice to have stuff mixed up.

and like darius said, why would i enter when even if i'm rolling 300 foot, i won't touch the top 3. coasters i know i can.....hence the reason i like that event. i haven't a chance in hell for stoppies.

 

No, he would try to qualify on friday, if he did well enough, he would go to the Sat. qualifiers, do well enough there and your in for the Pro main event on sunday, just like every should have to do. (Except the few riders that are given a bye into sat)

He would have to go thru that, like anyone that wants to compete in the pro class for $$$ would.


Am class is still for anyone that doesnt want to try to qualify for pro, and there is no $$$ in Am class, just trophies.

i dont stunt, but i respect the hell out of you all for doin what you love. but like in street racing your there to prove your worth to the crowd and to the other riders, this aint a game this is a competition. don't come out show your *** and ***** cause you got beat down by a kid from the corn fields of nebraska. you know it is an event and you knew what was at stake before you even stepped in the ring.

Pro's if you are in fact Pro's you know full well this is the big show and you are there to bring it home.

Am's if you aint Pro your Am and you gotta come up with a come up and show you got what it takes.

darius makes some great points about fascilities and what not and about riders not having to pay to compete , it aint my call i just call it like i see it..

xgames was mentioned and i have to say this. of course you dont see hundreds of contestants they weed them out a week before filming to make sure they can fit the competition into 8 hours of film, isnt the xgames like 2 weeks long or something? and i would imagine that the riders have to pre register and most likely have to pay something to compete nothing in life is free. if this were a drag racing event you'd have to pay at the gates to compete.. thats a sport thats been around for years and yet they still charge you at the gate, it's about survival of the sport..

That is really the only stuff that isnt boring for the crowd.
