STUNTWARS CONSTRUCTIVE INPUT (Post Here)
Re: STUNTWARS CONSTRUCTIVE INPUT (Post Here)
coaster comp?
i'm tired of seeing the same thing over and over....stoppies, freestyle comp.
they are all good but how many times can you really see a stoppie comp?

Re: STUNTWARS CONSTRUCTIVE INPUT (Post Here)
every Stoppie comp someone wrecks. Its the hardest trick to master. The suspense of someone teetering at the point of no return has the fans asses puckering
Re: STUNTWARS CONSTRUCTIVE INPUT (Post Here)
how about mixing hte comps up?
like run a bunch of one class, then run a bunch of another and keep changing it up. it deludes repitition, it will keep the crowd continuously interested and it will help decrease the boredom..
i know alot of the cool ideas may have to be thought out as insurance companies won't cover a retard stepping off his bike at 80 mph even tho that would make for great video. so i would think as you make your suggestions think about the fact that insurance aint cheap especially when you get some newb riders who are trying thier first hc or wheelie or stoppie and falls off and crashes, hospitals cost money.. just thought i'd point this out.
the obsticle course sounds like a defiante crowd pleaser, the fast circles sounds psychotic but a crowd pleaser, if you can fall down there is interest. the 50's intermission thing sounds like having clowns on the track.. head to head anything is a definate feature attraction, people eat that up.
ok my 2.65401276 cents.

Re: STUNTWARS CONSTRUCTIVE INPUT (Post Here)
This is what needs to be done and I'm not going unless it happens!!!
The pro's and the am's need to be broken up for individual freestyle. There is no need to qualify 130 riders for a class that should have no more than 20 tops. The pro's should not have to pay to enter this event. The cost of not having 20 riders pay is very minimal and shows a nice gesture to them since most of them have been there the last 4 years and have paid. I see to many people entering events they have no place bieng and just wasting everyones time, ie people entering longest no hander that can barely go 10ft. A simple question by the staff asking if you cant consistently roll hundreds of feet everytime dont waste your money and our time. Anybody remember the guy on the busa a few years back in individual freestyle? Ya exactly my point. Just the fact that anyone with a bike can just ride in and and pay $20 to compete with the pros is rediculous. Same with stoppies, if you see at least 5guys rolling way farther than you can do and it only pays out to 3rd place get a clue and save your money! I did and I can roll some decent stoppies but I know I'm not gonna come close to the top 3 so I didnt enter. There needs to be free food for the pro's, water always available and a private area roped off with our own *******. Stuntwars is a constapating event, I would rather **** out my car window at 100mph than walk into that **** hole of a bathroom. And who else feels like the floor is gonna colapse in the riders meeting?? The am events need to be held on sat and the main show on sunday. Qualifying is a waste of time and can be handled by asking some simple questions. The staff should know who is qualified to compete. This will eliminate alot of BS and wasted time. Having the event run soo long is a definate buzz kill, look at football, baseball, and other motorsport event. You think your gonna get a crowd full of people sit there in the shity stand from 10am to 10pm just to see the final event? Hell no! Our sport is exciting but not for 12 hours. The whole event should run no more than 8 hours. 10am to 6pm. I've been to too many other comps lately and all had much more luxury's than stuntwars, any thing less is unaceptable.

If you don't do stoppies...... try a few and get some respect.
But i guess you got gears and a handbrake on your bike instead of braided lines and a damper.
Also, the staff doesn't know everyone. But, I know that I shouldn't enter the freestyle event and I don't, so I feel everyone there.
+ how do people really know where they stand in am or pro? I mean,REALLY? If I HAVE to introduce myself to 20 people or more i'm an am? Is it success? If so, monitary or in comps? How many vids i'm in or put out?

well I think is has more to do than how good you are, cause there's been times I thought I was pretty good in the past and done real shitty at a comp. Most riders are still practicing tricks in the lot like we all do. But no matter how good you do in the lot if you have no experience in comps and putting together a routine you are not going to do good. Its only been in the last year that I have even starting having a planned routine. I would just go out there and wing it with no plan, and we all know if you fail to plan you plan to fail! Advice for everyone, get a air horn, stop watch, before you go ride spend a hour, write down every trick you know how to do, pick the ones you know you can do everytime and figure out how you can work them all together, figure out which tricks could possibly lead to the next and where you will be on the track when you finish your trick and what position you will be in to do the next, draw the track out in a rectangle and map out where you know you will be after each trick. Write down your routine and hit the spot. You will be amazed at after doing consecutive tricks how some tricks that are so easy you will mess up. Happened to me many times. Until you have your routine down and have done it hundreds of times will you get good at it, then as you learn better tricks you can replace the easier ones with the more technical tricks.

That's kind of what i'm saying. Like i said, i KNOW cant hang in individual, so i don't bother. At the same time, if you're told or you think you don't belong in a comp because of lack of experience, where do you acquire it? In the stands?
People that do know me, know that as of the past few months, i'm a one trick pony. But, if the "right" people DON'T know me, i may never have a chance to accel in comps? That's my concern with the invite-only thing.
It's hard for me to comprehend that well-known, rounded and established pros can't have compassion for am's when you were there once yourself. Even if you were there from the get-go. No disrespect, but you probably used to be a punk like me.
I know what i'm capable of. That's why i stick to that.
If the god of the stunt world reads this, tell me wheather i'm am or pro!
I don't mind being in the Unknown Stunters of America.
