Nice vid fellas. What year did yall make it. 2001 or 2002? Just bustin. I like the editing.

Yea... unfortunately, the footage they gave me to work with, was from a super cheap camcorder, and most with a very shaky camera man. So, start with low resolution low quality video, then run it through stabilization, thus having to crop the edges and inflate the video= Super low resolution video. So, the source is not so great. But as far as the editing, what did you think was cheezy? That way I can try and improve on the next one.

 

Well i thought it looked very home made. some things were cool but like you said you didnt have much to work with. I cant really judge your work cuz im still a newbie at editing, but i know what i like and what is good. Also i think the writing on the screen is wack. imo

 

Why aren't the streets ever gonna be the same?

 

cuz were gonna kill em! nothings the same after is been killed. duh!

 

not to knock your skill levels but when you say stuff like that you better not be doing power wheelies. the streets will not change from a couple people doing old basic tricks. once again not knocking anyone just saying why we (stunters) think its cheesy

 

Well, I guess an explanation would help. We aren't trying to make the sickest stunt video ever made with the best tricks ever. We are making a movie about the birth of a stunt crew. It will show the whole time period of when they first started all the way through their second season together as a crew. We understand that we are not offering the sickest tricks every shown before, and that's not what we are shooting for. No offense to the big boys, but the average person could sit down and watch a stunt video from LVX, StarBoyz, Team X-treem or anyone else, and you know what? They won't enjoy it. You hit the nail on the head when you said, "why we (stunters) think its cheesy," well, that's just it. We are hoping to push this movie more to mainstream people than stunters, which is why we are giving it a whole documentary/reality tv style format. RUI may not be the best stunt crew out there, but they work damn hard and they are funny as hell, so they are perfect for a movie showing the formation of their group and all the hard work they put into it. Basically we are trying to help bring stunting more to the mainstream. So as we work on this movie, we've shown tons of stunt videos to non-stunters, and they were all bored, and we asked why. We know we may not push the boundaries of the sport skillwise, but we are trying like hell to push it to the mainstream. If stunters only sell movies to stunters, no one ever gets rich, really!?!?! We're all just trading our money back and forth, and its about time we tap into that mainstream money!
