I actually thought WTF when (I took it on the computer) the picture of a piston came up on screen, with the question, "This is a:" and then several choices. I was thinking oh you gotta be f*cking kidding me.

 

The asvab was the easiest test i have ever taken. My GT is 131 my EL 131, CL 118 and the other one is 123

 

look and he still chose to be a Grunt.... JK man. But I will tell you one thing I get guys who score in the 80's and 90's and pick 03

No wonder your the few and the proud, maybe they should just go back to the old method when your given a round peg and 3 holes to chose from, of course they would all have to be round otherwise you would have to but racks in the testing room.

ps. (ssgtlittle) F grunts, I've never met one I could stand talking to for more than 2 minutes. They're the reason the minimum asvab score is 31 (to the best of my memory)

 

you do have a point! There are only a few that I've ever met that I can actually sit and talk with. Most of them are too OOHRAH for me. But, a lot of grunts I put in scored 65 and above. Matter of fact just put a young gent in the other day with a bachelors degree and scored a 92 (on the ASVAB) into the grunts. You never can tell.

 

I told my recruiter to make me a grunt, but he talked me out of it. BTW I had a 75.

Cause officers are gay and overpaid. I scored a 118 on my asvab (I think thats what it was) and I went in as a 55b. Can anyone say BORING!! after an assload of bitchin and waiting I got approved to go to another school for a different MOS. Oh, and I'm in college. And yes, I'm thinkin about changing to 11b and going to stryker brigade. We "smart" people aren't really that smart!

 

How is getting over paid a deterent?

 

It makes **** can e-5's like me hate you because we do more work and get paid less. but yes... I would like some officer pay! :YEAH

 

Sometimes it's not about the whole making money thing and it's all about doing something that makes a difference. One thing that is unique about the Crotch is that junior enlisted Marines are given more responsibility than another service officer. That and trying to get into OCS after you graduate is 10x harder to do after you already have your degree. The way they look at it is that the person can't find a job and is only looking at being an officer so that they can feel like they are the boss and they want to pay off college loans. Officers are not bad people they just deal with too many politics. I've got my degree and I'm not all about that BS. To the guy in the ARMY, you said you got a 118 that must have been your GT score because the highest you can get on the ASVAB is a 99. That young man who join got a 132 GT as a line score and all he want was to serve his country and make those poor bastards die for there's.

Hey don't hate. Officer life isn't as easy as it's cracked up to be, well at least for Company Grade officers(I don't know about field grade LOL). But being responsible for EVERY aspect of 40 men's lives isn't very easy.

 

that was awsome......I like some of the Army's officers, they're cool people. But my unit doesnt have any officers :YEAH , we have a commander, and platoon sgt's, and an a-hole 1st sgt.
