pensacola flight...
..i was wondering if anybody here has gone through the flight training in pensacola. this marine captain is offering me 60k to go to florida and get trained to fly a jet. that seems like a good salary, almost too good, especially just to start out at... what are the downsides, if any, and what should i know before i sign up??? i dont want to sign a check my *** cant cash ya know but im all about this so far. thanks in advance for the responses people!!!
I am also looking into marine corp aviation and 60k is way over what you would be making. Go to marineocs.com and have a look around. It is a great site. Look on there for the pay scale. I think first year is around 24 grand or so plus you get a couple hundred a month for housing and flight pay and ****. It adds up, but not to 60 grand a year
My brother is currently going to flight school in pensacola (actualy Whiting Field right outside Pcola). I dont know if he acyually makes that much but its close. If your not enlisted yet I think you will have to jump through some hoops first, boot camp, officer candidate school, then you might be able to go to flight school. Dont hold me exactly to it but this is what I remember of what he had to do. If you do decide to take this route be prepared to study yor *** off, and puke. Good luck.
