Are you out of your mind? Bring all your dive gear dude, and if not, everything you need with two tanks is only $25 a day to rent at Tsunami Gear on base. I've been here since March and i think the coldest i've seen is like 70 (at night). As for the bars, outside any base are all the bars you could imagine. The best are on Gate 2 Street outside Kadena Air Base right by Camps Lester and Foster. Holla back. ERIK

Bro, it's gross and she's old but as a tradition you gotta go see the banana show! It's out gate 2 like cbr said. Okinawa is about the same as florida, pretty close to the same weather.

 

I've managed 8 months on island without seeing the banana show, and I thank god for every additional day I miss out on it.
