It has alot to do with her age too. But the other female POW did get alot of publicity b/c she was a mom and she is trying to go thru congress now to have somesort of rule that mothers cannot go overseas. 
Is what I say personally. Going overseas is part of being in the Army. She knew her job requirements long before she had children, or, if she had her children 1st, she knew at her enlistment. I'm too opinionated lol

Really suprised by the female perspective on this one. Gender doesn't matter in this case it is just a true exploitation of a tragic situation. Lynzi, are you in the military? If so how the hell do you afford all those bikes?????Maybe you could give Megan one?j/k

Nope, my bike is on the way. Its pointless to buy a bike right now being the fact I live in Michigan and its September and I leave for basic in 4 months, dont ya think? My best friend has a few bikes so I usually just take out one of his

I can't beleive that they keep calling her a hero! what the hell is up with that? She isn't a hero. Shes just a normal soldier. And none of this crap would of happened if her leaders knew how to read a basic military map. Its not hard and its very with GPS. I know because I'm in kuiwait and I use the same stuff.
