im goin in
Like the title says, Im enlisting in the Army. getting all my paperwork done next week hopefully. scored a 91 on my practice ASVAB so im pretty open for the job search. Thinking about being a Chemical Operations Specialist (74D) or possibly a Firefighter (21M). If all goes well I should be leaving by the end of September :YEAH

Good luck, But I can tell you from experience you may way to wait about 7 months or so....I cant tell you why, But i can tell you it would be beneficial to your lifespan...

i cant really complain if i get deployed somewhere, ya know. would i rather stay here and learn something i can take into the business world after the army? yea, but if i have to go then thats a part of what im signing up for

Close calls were a daily norm. Also Ive got about a year and a half before I can talk much about anything. Also I would prolly NEVER talk about it on a public forum.

That's what I'm saying............after doing your active, your still obligated.....I was somewhat lucky....got out on a hardship discharge(fathers terminal illness), so I didn't have to deal w/ the reserve BS.....I know I woulda hated it.
