It's interesting to see all the different methods in this thread. I kept them high at first, but as I started to get them around 3 or more times, I let the bike drop down a little. Not alot- just enough to keep my arms locked. That seemed to help me keep them going. Its all about staying on top of the bike.

 

Yeah, I can see how once you get a lean and some speed in the circle you wont need it as high, prolly less chance of highsiding too. My boy started critiquing (sp) my circles while I was actually in it. Kinda like coaching saying "higher, more gas" etc. It really helped.

 

do u guys think it is easier to do em with the foot in the subframe ?

everybody says it doesnt give ya as much arm pump and your way higher.

can it be learned (eaisly) on the rear peg ?

 

I have a hard time with my foot in the subframe- probably because I'm kinda short. I personally don't like the way they feel with my body that stretched out. As far as having someone watching you, it really does help. Sometimes its hard to notice little things like your body falling in with the bike, but someone watching you can spot it and tell you right away.

give gas huh?how about on gsxr 1k 03 with -1+20. set idle high and try to run it of that?

i got soe to fall in and start to turn but falling in too fast.
i got others to turn in with the nose too high and bailed out of it early ...

practice..practice ...practice.

i need to stay ON TOP of the bike more i think. i was leaning off too much.

need some gearing too.
bike keeps stalling and low speeds.

any more advise is appreciated.

you just gotta see what fits you the best. I slip the clutch every 1/2 rotations and run idle 3500-4000 on stock 900rr. It doesn't look smooth, but it works

 

u do em pretty tight like that ??

i got big... steering circles so far.. idle set at 2500 -1 in the front.

bike dies all the dam time though..

i finally figured out that if i straighten my leg that is in the subframe... i can tunr the bike will almost no effort.

heres a series of pics all from one wide turn i did..

look at em and see if my positioning is right or what i can fix.

i think the key to tight right handed circles is the bikes lean angle, slowly dipping it over for a second just makes big circles. i ride them to the almost a stall with the idle up and dip it right and let off the brake

going to the left on the peg is a whole different thing

 

i know im just a beginer.. but does it seem like its way easier to tunr to the right all the damtime ?

i like it with my foot on the peg going left, but the subframes nice because your weight isn't on your arm's as much, i just have a easier time on the peg for some reason

 

Hey I was out by myself today trying them for the very first time. Man I was out there for at least 2 hours trying to accomplish anything. I can't get the BP to save my life. I wheelie on the highway for about 2 miles but that is it. But I am using the gas when doing it. This is totally new for me. This BP thing is killing me. WHen the bike gets up I get scared. How do you guys get past the mental part of this. Also I have -1 front on a zuk 1k. Will I be able to do this with this setup or do I need to change it?>

Everytime you do anything new for the first few times is "skarry" thats the fun in ridding.. Suck it up,, the more times you do it the less scarry it becomes.. That scarry feeling is were you need to always be so get used to it... its your friend..
