Re: Circle Wheelies

Frustration and circles go hand in hand. I did nothing for 6 months except learn circles. Nobody could really explain how to do them....and I don't think any more explanation than what you are seeing in this thread will help. It's all about going out there and busting your *** and busting your bike until it clicks. You'll get it..it's just a feeling and a function of time

now I'm learning these goddamn speed circles....that's a whole new ball game! can't wait to crash a batch of those....I can't even tell which way is up once I get going! I can't even guess which way I should jump off if I have to....hell the bike will probably go around again and take ya out the bar goes up!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Circle Wheelies

I hear ya......I have gotten advice from the best, and even ride with DV8 Ronnie, Ryan, and Big Dave on occasion. Just goes to show that you can have the best teachers in the world, but in the end you need to just go do it. You learn the best from trial and error. I've been at it a couple hours a day for the last week and a half, so hopefully I'll get 'em down soon.

Re: Circle Wheelies

I went out last night, and I was getting between two and four circles consistently, so I think I got 'em now. One thing I noticed about my positioning on the bike- I found that if I keep my right arm locked in position I don't let the bike fall in so easily. I just concentrated on keeping that arm in tight to my body, which seemed to help me alot. Thanks to everyone that helped me...the beer offer still stands.

Re: Circle Wheelies

i will be switching to sam adams octoberfest shortly!!

practice makes perfect, the lower the front wheel the faster you will have to go, the taller the slower the circle will go around...

if you can to 2-4 consistently, you got it! now it will be 10 whenever you want!

Re: Circle Wheelies

I worked on mine last night too. My biggest problem is keeping the bike leaned over, and staying on top of it. It feels like every time I let off the brake, the bike straightens up again.

Re: Circle Wheelies

man, I wish I had that problem earlier. I had my best luck with the idle around 4000 rpm and going in at a steady speed...probably about 5-7mph. Teach's advice about slipping the clutch might help.

Re: Circle Wheelies

Ok Went Out In The ****ing Freezing *** Cold To Day To Practice../ Try

I Can Get It To Turn Some What.....i Kept Going Through The Things On This Thread In My Mind While I Was Trying.

-keep The Bike Under You
-more Air Pressure
-turn The Bars
Stay With It And Give It A Lil More Gas When Turning In , Instead Of Letting It Just Fall.

And I Did All This Pretty Good I Think But It Was Real Hard For Me To Get Used To The Bike Felling Like It Was Going To Fall Over.. So Alot Of Times I Would 1/4 Turn And Fall.

I Did Get 180 Degree One Time When I Finally Stayed With It And Gave A Lil Gas In The Turn.

And I Added One More Wreck To My Belt Also.
High Sided One....think I Was Going Too Fast Or Gave It Too Much Gas And Then Turned Sideways ANDBUCKED ME OFF. The Frame Slider Saved Most Of It, Only Thing I Broke Was The Feeler On The Bottom Of The Footpeg...

I Need To Get A Dam Cage On This Thing Already Before I Make It Look Like My Gsxr....

Any Body Got Some Sugestions ?

Re: Circle Wheelies

To initiate right, I turn into the O with front wheel and square up my shoulders into the turn. Work on four 1/4 turns, and smooth out till its one big O.

Re: Circle Wheelies

i would suggest trying to go in ON the idle, and only goose her whne the front is coming down.

when they first clicked for me i had my foot in the subframe and was going left with my bars locked all the way left.

i find that if you turn into the circle, you will lean into a little bit...if you turn away from the circle (with your bars) you are on top of the bike more..

i tis early though and i could be confused.

dont run your psi too low...15 min i would say. i like 26 lbs. keep practicing...get some good time in before you cant ride and you will be able to do some good mental rideing over the winter...it works!
