Re: best 9mm handgun

The cops around here hate their sigs IDK why?? personally I've never shot one so I don't know...I'm not too big into 9mm's but i would have to agree on the XD my pops has the 4" Bi-tone XD .357 sig and that thing is a beast. Glocks are very reliable and nice, The H&K P2000 is a semi new sub compact and besides the ridiculous light trigger pull that gun is amazing in a 9mm. My Favorite handung to date would have to be the Kimber 1911 .45 ACP Desert Warrior that thing in my eyes is the sweetest hangun ever made, The only thing I hate about 1911's are there single action stupid ways...To have a Round in the chamber with the safety on the hammer has to be cocked and I hate that design personally but in terms of accuracy it's a beast. The Full size XD .45 ACP is a bad *** hand gun as well though...My 2 pennies

bottom line, it isn't about the caliber it's about shot placement.

Your exactly right! I have a Walther P22 and a sig misquito .22 that i could do just as much damage with in terms of accuracy as i could one of my bigger caliber handguns, just wouldn't trust my life with them. I have nothing against 9mm's just prefer .40 or .45 ACP

Re: best 9mm handgun

It's all a matter of preference, personnaly i would'nt go with a 9 i have a 40 and prefer that.
The main reason i went with the forty is because it's a good caliber and great capacity in a compact gun.
I have 14 shots in a concealed package if you were to go with a 1911 you only get 9 bullets max, good luck i'll take my chance with more bullets.

it's my piece of junk jennings 22 LOL, it's always jamming after the third shot, it need a new spring + major cleaning. But hey i got it from a buddy for 50$ LOL.

my next gun is either a 357 revolver with the spurless hammer or a 1911.

My girl has a 270 rifle, it's cool.

That's why i want the 357 because you can also shoot 38 special.
I love my glock but i wouln't mind trying an xd, i've held a few but never shot any.
I'll probably get a revolver first just because i already have an auto.

You think it looses a lot of accuracy?
i've shot one with the 38 special bullet for my ccw but that was a while ago, plus i think i was a bit closer than 25 feet. I'm just not sure, i'm kinda stuck with the bigger is better thing LOL.

It's a magnum so by the time the bulet leaves the barrell the powder is still buring in the long magnum shell so all it does is blind you with a brighter muzzle flash with no increse of velocity over the 38.

Re: best 9mm handgun

Sweet, i never thought about it that way.
i've seen a couple 38's and 357's and i think they were priced the same, so i'll have to think about it now.
Thanks for making my choice more difficult LOL!

I never would have though about it, but I was shopping at the local gun shop and I asked to see the .357. They guy said the .38 is better and why. Then he pulled out that exact gun out of his pocket. It was the piece he was carrying at that time.

I think you might have me sold on a 38 now LOL; the main reason is because my 40. is sometimes cumbersome when i'm wearing jeans and a T.
