Custom stunt frames

I have a very close family friend (mom bf) that owns a Frame building company which makes motorcycle frames and anything that consist of bending or fabricating stuff. He and his dad race motorcycles which all have there frame built by them.I talked with him earlier about our sport and how we've got companies that are making stronger products for our bikes to withstand when fallen.
He's interested in getting into fabricating up a STUNT RELATED STUFF LIKE,STUNTFRAMES for any bike thats lighter and also stronger and making stronger points where there needs to be.also subframe,cages.subcages.He also can fix or rebuild anything thats wrong with the bike whether its got a blown motor or just needs to be rebuilt, messed up wires etc.
So im looking for input from the pro's and all other riders on what us stunters need in a STUNTBIKE that could make it stronger and better for us to perform on.We're just seeing what everyones thoughts are right now and see how it goes and maybe we can make it happen and have a actual company that builds whole STUNT frames.
The website is FRAMECRAFTERS.NET.
check it out and post up what you think about all this.up

If you guys have ever heard of the new motorcycle that supercharged called roehr he and his dad got the contract to built the first frame for it.
http://framecrafters.net/projects/index.phpFramecrafters was contracted to build the composite frame and associated parts designed by Roehr Motorcycles LLC.

If the frames aren't to much I want 1 for a 2010 r1!

For real though, about how much would he charge for a frame?

Re: Custom stunt frames

I would think that for around 1200-1500 i wouldn't mind a fully reinforced bulletproof frame with a custom bike title.

Re: Custom stunt frames

it's gonna cost a lot of money...

Friend of mine is a downhill mountain biker... he pays $3000+ for his frames alone and that's for a mountain bike. Imagine a fully build "stunt frame" for a motorcycle....

Re: Custom stunt frames

For 3g's I would buy 3 frames with titles and call it a day I cant see spending that much money on a stunt frame IMO anyway. 1000-1500 I would definitely invest in one if I had a bike that needed one - like a Kawi, Yamaha, GSXR, etc. But for 3k not me.

wtf

Um its a sport that im involved in and care deeply about.Im just putting it out there for him.3g's is alot and it isnt a set price. Its what he think is the price for the amount of work put into it aswell as cost for part. Why would it be looked at as making money off the sport? it's benefitting us and helping to start something that could potentially give us a upper hand on stuff as far as still putting out better materials for our bikes in our sport. Not everything is gonna be looked at cheap for us stunters. Were always looked at as not wanting to spend alot of cash on **** but that got to stop one day.some guys actually want A+ things and will pay for it

Its just a general topic right now to see what riders think of it.If thats where your thoughts are on it then ok if not then say what you think could help in the process.

IMO, One would be better off selling prefabbed pieces that we could buy and weld/have welded onto our frames where we want the support.

Re: Custom stunt frames

I would consider! I have broken 3 Kawi frames and swapping/pulling motors subframes gets OLD!! Not to mention the factories use the poopest aluminum on the planet to make thier frames.

Re: Custom stunt frames

I like the idea of selling prefabbed pieces to weld onto existing frame where needed.
