i know there is a few threads on swaps but nothin about gsxr frontends workin.... got an 07 gsxr 600 frontend, before i start swapping i wanna know if it will work out, if it wont, it will save me some time..

and yes i know what a search button is mother ******* u try. haha

Cadillaczac put a 05 gsxr 1000 complete frontend on a f4i, lower tripple and top. You need to replace the top bearing but the lower bearing is the same. I had a 97 gsxr frontend that fit in 929 tripples.

yea i got the 929 triples i just dont know if they are the same spread between triples and ****.. i dont want to do shims and **** for the wheel, rotors and calipers..

so he just used trips off the gsxr??? so that bearing he used should be the same one i need then right?

im not sure about the spread, other then that the frontend was weak anyway and really short so unless you like dirtbars or running clip-ons underneath the tripple dont bother, way to short to lower the forks and run in top without smashing the radiator, a mint front end got destroyed in 3 sessions, 2 blown fork seals and a bent front rim on a kinda big drop but my 929 frontend took much more abuse.

it works i did it. mine were 05 gsxr 750 forks/rim...etc

used 929/954 triples, everything else off the gsxr front end. Everything lined up fine for me.

yea gsxr tripple fit right in, here a link to the bearing, hit up faceless he might have one in stock, he just put a r6 frontend on his 600rr using the same bearing.

no not at all, in the pic I posted the clips ons were under triple but I switched to the top and no issues.

I went with the gixxer forks because they were closest to the stock f4i fork length (600rr, 1000rr, 929/954 are all shorter than the gsxr forks)

this pic is what it looked like with the clip ons under at first, you can see it sat real high. Not short at all, plenty of room to run clip ons on top and lower it down

you dont remember the length of em?? how could i find that out?? and this is the 06 07 so it could be different... wish i woulda thought this **** out first, imma be pissed if i bend a rim those things are like $250 right now..

u know the length of a f4i fork? i remember in one of kj's threads a couple of years ago it was posted, now i cant find it

929 fork is 29 1/2 inches...
1000rr tube is 28 3/4

you could ask somone with a 06-07 gsxr frontend to measure there forks, i remember my 97 forks were 32 inches and they felt like stock f4i hieght with the forks above the tripple.

so is that from total botom to top or is it middle of axle to top??? i already got the gsxr frontend its at my boys house though, hes gonna check in a little
