cut down exhaust

cut down exhaust

gonna cut my exhaust down today and wanted to see if anyone has done it to a micron yet? how does to cap at the end come off? there are no bolts on it at the end.. thats it right there...

drill the rivets

chop it shorter

drill new holes

re-rivet it

strange as it sounds tho, theres no rivets at all...thats y im kinda boggled on it

why u wanna cut it down. it looks like a nice can. u should get a stocker or a banged up can to cut, not a brand new micron.

cut it and rivet it. you are gonna need to cut the core too. rewrap it and put it all back together. just don't cut it to short or else your hanger won't hold it.

please for the love of god re-wrap. they sound horrible to begin with so a gutted one sounds even worse.

it took some work but i got it all done and it sounds about the same...thanks for the help:YEAH

no no no dont listen to these guys.. With a micron you remove an allen bolt thats just inside the exit side of the can.. then take it apart . cut the center baffle to the exact lenth you cut the outter can to. then weld the center baffle together making sure the orientation of the allen bolt hole. put it all back together and snugg down the end cap with the allen.. I have pics Ill have to find them.
