WTF to do now???
Re: WTF to do now???
Lookup your local laws for private sale, I'm sure your ok.
"AS IS" is all the law implies for ANY PRIVATE SALE. Tell the judge he completely looked over the bike before purchasing it. LIKED IT, and AGREED TO BUY IT! Have a witness with you, 2 if you can, because that is going to help you. The law is on your side, no matter what the ad said. You could have said the bike ran on water, and flies, and they couldn't get their money back! HE CAN RESELL IT IF HE CHANGED HIS MIND, its not your problem! You'll win in court.
I saw on tv a guy that sold someone a car, knowing the transmission was bad, the other guy looked over it, and bought the car, then later tried to sue the seller, he lost. Even though the seller screwed him, private sales are all "AS IS NO WARRANTY!" unless you provide a warranty in writing for the purchaser.
Furthermore, they have already been dicking with the bike, and I wouldn't take it back for anything.
Let us know what happens! Good luck man!

I agree with most of these guys on here, if these doushebags looked at the title then they shouldve figured it out then, all the info is on the title, everythings legit then wtf... if this goes to court id say ur pretty safe

Re: WTF to do now???
If there was no bill of sale, how can he prove he gave you the money. **** him. There's nothing on titles up here about money, just transfer of ownership.

I think what there going for is "false advertisement" , by having my ad say kawasaki 636
Re: WTF to do now???
First off. I understsand the guy being pissed that he got a 600 when you told him he was gettig a 636. But if the title reads 599cc then its his own damn fault. Although if it reads 599 then you should have known it wasn't a 636 and not advertised it as such.
Re: WTF to do now???
are you sure your not being scammed by him? you say you thought it was a 636 right? if the rr and the r motors will bolt right in (i think they do. ive heard only the bore is different, could be wrong) then tell them you sold it to him and hes swapped out a motor he didnt want with yours and now hes trying to scam you. you will win in court as mentioned before. dont worry about it. then sue him for lawers fees and **** lol

Re: WTF to do now???
No I did NOT sign anything saying 636...but there is still the ad on craigslist he has a picture of.
Yes the title was correct and signed over.
Re: WTF to do now???
i took someone to court over a vin number not matching the frame, that's probably the only way in private sales for someone to win in court,
you'll be fine, the papers match the frame, all you have to say is you thought it was a 636, but the title clearly say what it is, your craigslist ad won't matter, don't even stress the interchangability stuff, they bought a legit bike

Re: WTF to do now???
and they live in redding?? that'd be a big hassle for them to file, but if you do get a registered envelope in the mail... refuse it!! then they'd have to hire a cop to serve you papers, then don't answer the door!
