I'll try and be as brief as possible, but this is gonna be a long one! My hate for 08 goes to Full Throttle Inc, who i thought at one time was the greatest thing for this sport. So i'll Start from the beggining...

Back in late Feb, i sold my GSXR 750, bought a salvaged 04 636 one week later (early March). I'd always tried the cheap route about setting up my bike, so i said, i'm going all out on the 636. I had a show coming in three weeks, so had to get it done quick...

Called Bill, wanted to get a good HB setup, the forks done, and try out the pro bars for the 636. He told me about the new HB, said it's the best thing on the market blah blah blah... So i agreed to purchase it...

Then on to the Forks, said i'd have them in about a week from when i shipped them, good deal since we both live in Indiana.. Pro bar's would take a few more weeks...So i agreed on all and made payment.

Two days later, got the boxes for the forks and HB setup. 3 weeks later i got the forks back.... kept hearing they'll be done in a day or two, waiting on metal.... (show luckily canceled due to weather), so i put it together and headed to WI to do some training. As soon as i unload the bike (not ridden it yet) I do 1 freaking stoppie and get stopped by one of the guys cuz there's fluid on my plastics. Fork Seal Busted ALREADY! Call Bill, he's like i put thicker fluid in there cuz i thought you might like it ( I never asked for it) so he says send them back and i'll fix it. Well, i have a guy here that does my forks, so i tell bill, i'm just gonna have him do it, so i'll have it back the same day vs 3 weeks and he can just get me on the cost of it, since shipping would be about the same as what my guy charges. I take the bike to have the forks done, told to come back in a couple hours, hour later, i get a phone call telling me to come back cuz i gotta see this. Go back and my forks are apart. My guy tells me that the left fork assembly was not put together right (the spring and all that was in Pieces, it's supposed to come out as one assembly, and my right fork only had about 1 1/2 threads holding the bottom of the assembly.) I ask how, he tells me there is now way someone could of put the forks together and thought they were right! So i call bill, tells me he had helpers, assembly line type thing yada yada ya... So between the two of them, they figure out that the insert was not drilled to the right size. So i have my guy fix it and bill tells me we'll work something out... I left the forks at that, just wanted to ride my bike...So forks got fixed, never sent bill a bill, cuz i was already tired of messing with it....

Ok, onto the Pro Bars... I finally got my Pro Bars in JUNE after weeks of calling and asking where they are, waiting on anodizer..etc etc, i get my bars, they're 2 diff colors? i'm like wtf, he says he ran our of bars or some ****? o.k, whatever... Not much of a complaint on those, except that it took 3 1/2 months for me to get them... Good quality, but damn.... i had already paid!

And the latest and greatest.. The ever so great HB, when i first got the hand break i thought it was the greatest thing... (refer back to the cheap setup) It worked better than any HB I had on my bike previously... Well, i broke 2 old cables and 2 new cables for a grand total of 4! By the grace of GOD, not one time was I hurt! I will give bill credit in the fact that he did come to one of our shows and bring me a cable cuz one had broken. I told him the complaints about lack of power, we both bled it, still no improvement. I even went over with him how i adjusted the slack, and he said i was doing it right. He came out with the new cables, and somehow i still managed to break them! i'm not he-man by now means, and i made sure it was adjusted right everytime, the last thing i want is for my HB to fail when i need it! I called him about getting a cable for my china trip back in june for a backup, said no problem, never got it! So i would had a crappy time had it broke then..

So to fix the lack of power, he tells me he'll make me a dual caliper setup, back in mid may, i asked Greens to send him a wheel, spacers, and whatever he needs to get this done, so they did, only charging him shipping (around $30), well, it's been 3 months now and i still have yet to get my bracket, they have yet to get their wheel back, and i have gotten, you'll have the adapter by the end of the week for atleast a month...

and on top of all that! During all this, E-brake takes his 04 636 and his 06 636 up there so bill can design/manufacture rear sets, radiator brackets, and some other stuff in trade for the new HB Setup and whatever he designs off of it. Was only supposed to have the bike for the weekend, ended up having it two weeks, after eric had to hound him to get his **** back, eric ended up going up there and staying the weekend to help him out. Only thing he got in return was the HB, was promised Blue Steel Braided lines that he never got, nor the rest of the ****.

I have went to the source many times and kept getting the run around, phone call after phone call. Had it been just givin to me, i would of understood some, but I PAID for everything...

So there ya go, my hate for 08.....

I've always liked ya bill and how you're pretty up front, but whatever problem/s your having this year, i hope they get fixed....

bill has always bent over backwards for me....always providing me with parts to take overseas and "transform" bikes that i have never ridden.....

you pretty much just threw all chances of sponsorship with bill out the window with this post.....you come on here thinking your some sort of professional and everything, but it's obvious you haven't been in the game as long as you say you have been......bill is one of the nicest/smartest guys i know.....and has always been a real stand up guy with me

Just because Bill has always been the nicest guy to you, doesnt mean he is with everyone else. I know a lot of people support Bill, but it seems like he is obviously wrong here.

So what if he just lost all chances at being sponsored by him, I highly doubt he would be interested in his products at this point anyway.

and that has what to do with this post?? he paid.. didn't ask for sponsorship he never said he was some kinda pro, he just wanted parts.. he also said he was a really nice guy, and very up front?? doesn't change the fact that his parts were breaking and the time said wasn't the actual time he needed, but i know i know i'll say it before someone else comes on and tells me.. "get the **** outta here squid" i'm gone

 

Dont know anything about all the other **** but I watched his cable snap in person...he didnt pull it hard at all. I wouldnt run that HB for free.

 

seriously dude why do you run your mouth everytime chuck post something. he didnt say anything rude or bash bill........he simply stated what happened. im sure hes not worried about a sponsorship considering he was already dealing with bill. bill in no shape way or form is a bad guy or did anyone wrong. some things didnt happen that he said would. chuck stated at the end that he had never had any prob. before and bill has always helped out. ........BUT this year has been different and the ball was dropped. i know several people that had problems with him this year. 1 of my close friends is one of them. ive never had any personal problems with bill nor buisness related problems for that matter. chuck however did and i know he has been dealing with this. so for you to come on here and act like you always know whats going, its pretty immature dude.

hmmmm...i've dealt with bill a few times and never had any problems at all and he was always helpful....i will say i'm not a fan of the new hb but like you said hopefully he gets everything straightened out back to way it used to be...i'm sure somethings have come up out of his control and he'll take care of it.

I will be the second to apologize to you, because I'm sure Bill will be the first. He has always took care of me over the years. I've put thousands of miles on his products and never had one problem out of them. In my oppinion his attitude, knowledge, and product is near unprecedented in the sport.

I feel confident that Bill will rectify the situation even though you whined and bashed him at the heart of his market.

 

I don't see where Bill was being unethical, today's day in age, be thankful for what you ******* have. especially in this sport.. I'm taking nobody side, it's a public forum for people to share their thoughts but ones person experience is going to be different from the next and I know when I send my fork legs in to bill (eventually) i'll be more than happy to wait. Who the offers this kind of service

I can read perfectly fine. My point is "WHY" get on here and do what he did. That's the kind of thing my 7 yr old does. A man would deal with Bill and the situation at hand discretely.
