Anyone run aluminum sprockets? I was going to go 1 down, 4 up on my RR, but the only rear sprocket I could get that big aluminum. I figure that aluminum sprockets wouldn't last very long the way we ride. I know some of you use them, how long do they usually last? |
i run vortex and have never had a problem |

I built a bike it was wrecked came with a brand new vortex I wasted it in a week I don't know how anyone gets life out of them |
Chain condition has alot to do with killing an aluminum sprocket. Keep it lubed and adjusted and you should be fine. I sheered 17 th off my 44 th aluminum sprocket last summer but it was due to chain neglect. I have had the new one on all summer with no problems this year. |
