I'm in love with that thing, though they are pricy, I don't know what I was thinking that day.. they have ones that are cheaper but work the same, just not made out of all billet alum.. Oh well too late now. haha

Re: pic of hand brake , clutch levers setup
on top :YEAH
thats how I got mine...its within 1/4" of being PERFECT for me right now.

I can idle spreaders, 50/50, and highchairs fine with it like it is, but I have to cross up my brake (middle) finger under my clutch (index) finger. If I play with my handbrake too much, like too many SS circs in a row, my left forearm and hand starts cramping up!:banghead

I'll take some good pics with my camera phone and post em up when I get home. I'll try to also take a pic of the triple in relationship to the clipon/brembo master to show the problem area. Its SO close to being perfect!

It's all personal preference. To me it has better feel than the brembo

heres my setup....I like it, but it could be better if I could get the brake lever 1/4"-1/2" to the left! Otherwsie, it works really well!

duh on the cutting the lever down, but it's really close together.when i'm 2 fingering i need the space so my index doesn't nit the HB lever when pulling the clutch...

Not so..
Magura and PVM only make their masters out of 100% billet, Brembo makes them in a cast version($200) and billet($300+)....:2cents

Magura makes a forged version as well.... "radial 195 master" series. Their billet versions are "radial 190 master" series.

And brembos are either FORGED or billet.... there's no cast version.

I have that same billet magura clutch master that Mikee has and it is VERY nice.... i like it a lil better than my brembo billet clutch master. :2cents

Forgin and casting are esentially the same thing, just a differnt term....Wheels are forged, but Ive never heard anyone use forging to describe a maser cylinder.....

Ive never seen a Magura that wasnt billet, any online links to one?

Well as far as i understand... casting is when hot molten metal is poured into it's mold and allowed to cool... during cooling, small air pockets can form, which makes cast parts easily breakable.

Forging is when a solid piece of billet is compressed under a high pressure die to form the desired shape... then finish machined.

The forged piece is stronger cause there's no porosity and the grain of the aluminum can be controled.

Billet pieces are just straight up machined from the start w/ no pressure or heat treating involved.

Unfortunately i have no links... but from the Denniskirk cataloge i have it's got both the 190 and 195 masters... and i believe the 195 description says something about "forged and precision machined aluminum".

Forging is much closer to billet machining... very different from casting.
Forging is much closer to billet machining... very different from casting.
Forging and billet are nothing alike at all, not even close....I should know I just did my first day of training on my new $20,000 CAD/CAM software this afternoon.....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GU32Q6QXtWQ

Forging and casting are much more alike, both use a die to form the shape of the part where as billet maching the parts are cut out of a solid piece using cutters/endmills on a CNC mill.....

With Forging the metal isnt liquid form like casting but glowing and almost molten, it is then pressed a number of times into shape with a dies in a press...
http://www.cinecraft.com/fia/IDP/IDPPLAY.html
With Casting molten metal is poured or injected into a die and pressed to form the shape, but like I said both use a "die" to form the shape...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxDVCzJot7c

Either way it doesnt matter the bore of the master still has to be machined, the is no real advatage that billet will give you....It will be fractionally stronger and higher tolerances but Ive never seen anyone break the body on a forged/cast master....

You could be right about the forging over casting thou, I just didnt think they would forge a master because it doenst need the streght you get from forging...Just like engine covers, valve covers, etc etc casting is more then strong enough for stock parts...FOrging is normally reserved for parts under alot of stress that require strength like rims and chassis parts...

Well the brand is "outside" ,never heard of it before.
Found it at a dirtbikeshop here in Holland.
Its the same as the Moose only stronger, the lever actualy fits in a Moose perch.
I like it much more than the moose.

Here you go... i found one....

http://www.spieglerusa.com/cfm/mc_ca.cfm

"The levers, plates and cylinder of the RADIAL 195 are forged parts, and naturally as robust as you would expect from MAGURA. The well-conceived lever kinematics provide the RADIAL 195 with a very long service life."
