Are the subcages worth it?

Ok so i bought some esd pegs thinkin it would help me get around my tail section on my 600rr. They are almost an 1'' longer than the stock pegs but they still didnt make me feel comfortable. Rode my buddies f4I and nearly creamed myself at how stretched out i was.
I have heard that the subcages move the pegs over and out on the subframe from their stock position. i get all fn cramped up after a day at the spot. I need some serious help on my desicion making process. Any input is greatly appreciated....
Which is better OMR's cage or SI, is there any others?

I'm just here to agree with you on the 600RR peg placement.

After being the on GSXR all week, I busted out the 600RR last night and riding them both back to back made me realize just how cramped the RR is.

Re: Are the subcages worth it?

all i can say is OMR...its much more comfortable position where u put your foot on and you wouldnt have to worry about ur leg rubbing against the tail section.

:monkey600rr stock peg bracket placement
another reason to get a subcage besides just the better peg position is the fact that it will be 100 times more solid then the stock peg brackets, push down on your rear peg with one finger and you will see what i mean...

the subcage also ties the two sides of the subframe together and that stiffens the subframe and helps keep it from tweeking from side to side and beleive it or not that can help keep the subframe from breaking in a wreck because they usually twist alot before they break

and on my subcage i also rotate the peg bracket on it's axis and that keeps the peg from folding up while in a wheelie and it also puts your foot on the grippy part of the peg

it's alot stronger then the stock peg bracket the stockers break or bend at the slightest contact with the ground and they some times bend the tabs on the subframe ,this can't happen with a subcage because of the cross bar that ties the two side together

there are more reasons but in this case the better peg position and stiffness should be enough reason to get one ,and by the way i move the 600rr pegs back ,down ,and out it makes the bike so roomy you will never want to ride it with stock peg brackets again.........

pm me if your interested
