Curious who are late starters in stunting?
 

I wish I had started a long time ago, as a result I wouldve been more careless and probably learned faster, but Im older and getting hurt would affect me way more seriously now than then (monitarily, out of work etc etc etc)

Who here is just starting stunting at a way older age?

I consider myself a late bloomer considering i hadn't ridden a rocket till i got out of the service in Dec 03, but feel ya on the carefree thing, but sometimes you just gotta say F-it and go for it.....

Never been on two wheels till 29. Im thirty right now. When I sometimes ponder about whether I'm too old I think of OMR and that keeps me going.

I'm 21 and i am trying to get into stuntin. working on my sit down wheelies for now. Once i get those down solid i'm going to work on my staggered wheelies. I also want to get into road racing, that would be badass.

Never sat on a bike till 25. Didn't try stuntin till 27. Still a wicked squid but I'm learnin. Dumped off my front end after sittin down my first spreader and my ankle is still twice the size of the other but I'm still ridin almost every night. I tried track ridin first, ADDICTIVE, but much more expensive than stuntin. Parkin lots are free, track days are like crack, too damn expensive to do alot of, but too much fun to do in moderation! Gonna try and get another track bike tho, one wheel is nice but nothin feels like plantin that knee down at 100+

Yep, but age is a state of mind. I didn't even ride a motorbike of any kind before my 02 Aprilia RSV Mille...in Dec. of 2003. That started the wheelie addiction, and 4 bikes later, I still got the Mille and stunting seriously for about a year now.

I got hella bad arthritis from skateboarding and my work, but I don't let it slow me down. I usually stick whatever trick it is that I go for by the time I go for it, just cuz maybe I'm older and don't try stupid shit until I got a good foundation to start from, and I feel I'm ready. Other than that, it's really no different from what Iv'e seen.

never popped a wheelie until i was 31 and that was on a fucken quad....08 i will have a streetbike hopefully i dont get fucked up too bad.....how does to the saying go "there are two of riders..........those who fell or those who havent fell yet".......

that makes me feel better cus I'm 20 and I just started stuntin like two months ago. i wish I woudl of boughtin a sportbike right when i was 16 and wish i woudl of started wheelies on my dirtbikes when i was way younger. lookin at aaron colton makes me depressed ah. only thing that makes it hard is now that I have to start supporting my self I cant keep getting hurt on the weekends cus I have work all week. and I labor for a carreer

started at 35 last year and i'm also 245lbs been hurt pretty bad torn knee and ankle so just started riding hard again, just think young and you feel young until morning!!!!!!!!!!! Hawaiian Dave West Coast Connection!

yea Im lookin into carpentry and HVAC and taking classes at community college here trying to get my degree while working too. so I got tons on my plate. and as much as I hate cops from all the shit I get from riding and shit I kind of want to be a cop to haha i duno why but it interest me

first time on something with a motor and only two wheels was 2003, got into stunting last summer so its been a little over a year, im 22 now.

I woke up sore as hell from only riding about 1 hour on the motard yesterday, I crack and pop every time I move, I have to get off my bike to piss about every 30 min, and I even have one of those boots off a belt sander in my drawers to collect all the dust from my farts!! I really got into stunting in March of 06 when i was 23 which isn't that old but i wish i would've started about 2 years before because there was a stunt revolution going on in Otown which is about 45 minutes away from me and i had no idea. I'm just mad because i feel like i missed out on alot.:banghead

i'm 23, started sit down wheelies about 2 months ago, just starting staggered and getting closer to bp, spent 6 years riding like a loon on the road, so i feel like i'm starting late too

As long as you're enjoying whatever it is you're doing, you can never be too old

rocked my first slow wheelie on a 600 at age 42 ....does that count ?

granted i been rockin Pow Pows and poppa stoppies for 20 years... but never knew about brake control or riding idle wheelies (that shit was unheard of in 1987 ) and there was no internet to research this stuff (It was just a different time in the evolution of motorcycling.

I had a gary rothwell Vid and the original FTP when they came out....but I just thought those guys were "naturals" I didnt realize that mere mortals (like myself) could do stuff like that with dedecated practice....Until last year..(with the help of reading posts on Stuntlife)..when I learned RB and Idle wheelies and No handers on my quad....I knew I could learn the art of slow wheelies on my 6hunny.... and I have .... I still suck compared to real stunters....But I'm consistent....I'm improving regularily...and I'm having fun ... you cant ask for more than that :cheers

In the future i'd love to do some shows (I've done a couple on the Quad...but I want to rock the Bike) and maybe in 08 or 09 compete in a comp or two (as an amatuer.....or a senior if they ever have a seniors class :LOL ...

i started on a 50 at 13 and im 15 and gettin an f4i at the end of this month or early next month(sucks not being able to get a real job)

i will start stuntin in about 3 months and im 21. im not old but i have things to do and to care about like my job and my law career for example. considering ive been watching stunt videos since i was 16 i really wish i started at 19, k5 was my birthdays present :banghead

started racin motocross at age 4...raced that at expert level until 16...then got street bikes...raced those until last year and now at 22 just gettin into stunting pretty good... so time to turn in the leathers and knee pucks and get the damn crash cage...:-)

i was ride when i was 5 then raced dirt when i was 12 to 15 then street at 16 and started to stunt about 2 years ago i am 22 now

Im 26 still poor and can't afford a crotch rocket. Its about Rm 89000 for an R1 or CBR 1000 thats USD 1 = RM 4.2 and our Government taxes for vehicle is whooping lots of shit. Man you guys bike are cheap. I wish I was rich.
