When I hit the HB it moves a little bit up, and after that stands there... And then also the HB is hard.
So when the foot pedal was the lower position, the foot brake works well, but when you hit the HB, it moves a bit up, and then it stays there, and the Hb is good...
I know the foot pedal will always move around, I know that, but not in the way I'm talking about...
Cause I see that the pedal is also moving around when the HB is solid ! I see that, and understand that's normal... But what I'm trying to explain is different... Cause the position of the foot pedal changes 1 time, and after that stays that way...

Just get used to it..
Or mount a 2nd caliper..
But i dont see it as a problem, just go out training insted of making this looong posts haha

if your rotor is a little warped it will push the piston back in the caliper and will require a single pump to return the pads against the rotor if thats not the problem then lube the inside of the foot brake lever and use anew return spring and if that doesnt work bleed it the old school way open the bleeder place finger on it apply pressure and pump pump pump brake fluid should spray out without any air bubblesand your finger should keep air from entering the open bleeder valve if that dont work you need anew master good luck post the results so i know if it worked

i had the same prob.. couldn't figure it out.. kept bleeding the line from the master.. then i bled it from the lever.. all fixed

I truly believe it's not air, but it's the fact that when I reach for the HB and push it, the first thing that happens is:It pushes the footbrake pedal up, before it is building up pressure...
Re: I found the problem to Pumping up my HB... Read this !
it's because the piston in the foot brake master has to be fully forced down to the bottom of it's bore (bottomed out) for the handbrake to be able to put it's full pressure back to the caliper . brake systems work on thousands of pounds of pressure and if there is any slack in the system it's gonna have to fill up that slack first before you get full brake lever.

it would help a little, but if the spring pulls the foot brake to the top, there could still be more drop to the piston in the foot brake, and if there is then it's going to transmit the braking force to the pivot and the mounting point on the foot brake lever which equals a little sponge till it takes up any slack left.
