Finally turning it into a stunter!!

After all the talk and complaining about my throttle surge, lack of money, etc. I finally fixed the surge, ordered my 12 bar, and 59 tooth sprocket. I was going to get a cage, but didn't have the $. I have some 7.5" sliders, should that get me by for a while? I'm taking off all of my plastic, and I have a dented up gas tank back in Wichita I'm going to put on. Man, I'm so stolked.

If you are intrested in getting a cage check out www.smitherscustoms.com or call steve or patty at 913-768-8667 Smithers Customs is dealing 905 Racing and can hook you up on a cage for your bike or any bike. He can also get any other part for your bike that you would need, including parts for fiddys. Tell him that I sent you and thay'll hook it up.

Re: Finally turning it into a stunter!!

Just curious, what advice is there for when I first re-gear my bike. I can get past tbe BP. and get on the brakes on a quad in a wheelie, and ride down a dune no prob, will this be similar to that? I'm mostly worried of tipping over to the side, is that much of a problem? Also, I don't have any leather right now, if I'm just working on slow stuff will I be good? Sorry about the questions, there's just no one around here that can help me out. Once I can afford a trailer I'de like to come out and Kick it in KC, hopefully by then I'll kindof have a handle on the slow stuff. I appriceate any help that ya can give a rook.

Questions are always welcome. If you know where the rear brake is you should have no prob, if you can balance a highway stand-up then you should be okay doing it slow, its just requires more tech. When I started out I crashed alot, it will happen, the most you'll get is some rash. If you are ready to crash you should think about getting a cage, just speaking from experience, it'll save you alot of money in the end.

I'm planning on taking off all of my plastics for a while. Will the sliders protect the cases, and everything else alright if the plastic is off and I lay it down slow, or does the cage do alot more? I'de just order one if I had the cash. As far as my highway stand-ups They're pretty good, I can usually ride them near a mile if everything's smooth, but I usually set them down earlier than that if I have to accelerate much past 65 mph. I'll throw some video footage up on here once I get my buddy to rip it off of the DVD I'm working on, and post it on our website.
