sat.afternoon i desided to take the 11 for a spin.i went to team triumph and stop to talk to todd and some others that i havent seen for awhile.todd was staying late to get a bike finished for a customer.he forgot to turn off the "open" sign and a few more customers came in after hours.which is no big deal,so victor(todds new sales/helper) and myself begin to help these people,when i hear this BOOM! at first i didnt think much of it until i heard marty(a regular at T.T.)screaming"hey,hey!do you always back into motorcycles and try to drive away?!"at a car with two kids in it that is begining to pull away.i look out side to see my 11 on its side.the two kids stopped the car to help pick up the bike,as i'm enraged to the point that i'm screaming profanities that even i didnt understand.marty asked me if i wanted to call the police to file a report.i said yes.i must have scared the the **** out of the two of them cuz,the two kids jumped back into the car and take off.little do they know that marty is already on the phone with the police and reading thier plate # to the dispatcher.as they are leaving T.T. they dont even stop at the end of the driveway they bolt staight into traffic on to 14,nearly being T-boned by a oncoming car thats blasting its horn at them.the cops find them and site the driver for......... get this.......driving with out a lisences for the second time,and for fleaing the seen of an accident.oh did i mention this little pillow biting maggot is....."15"....!!!!!! i parked in front of the big picture windows at todds,about a good 5-7 feet from the wall.marty told me that when the dumb fhuck put into reverse he was slinging gravel cuz he was moving so fast.when he hit my rear tire he flung the 11 so hard that it hit the wall,and bounced back sliding along the ground.the whole left side of the bike is junk.the car, the little fudge slerping tool was driving wasnt even his or his families.he borrowed it from someone else! is this what americas youth has come too? how fhucking stupid are kids now days?!so needless to say this fhuck stick for a brain surgean is going to pay for alot of new **** for the 11.i asked the cop why he didnt bring the kid back to T.T.?and he said,well, how pissed are you right now?i said probably pissed enough to end up in jail for child abuse! he said look at it this way......i saved you a trip.i shook his hand and told him thanks.the cop also told me that the driver of the car admitted to it but the passenger gave it away when the cop pulled up,got out and and ask where the driver was at and the passenger said "hes inside throwing up right now he'll be out in a minute."think i scared the pudd jerker good!

well its easier to tell you what is still good. the right side lower,mid and the exhaust pipe are still good.the tail(both sides) ,left lower,left mid,front fairing,left fork,possibly the right fork,left clip-on,bar end,and mirror all need to be replaced.nice huh?

 

Who has to pay for the damage since the kid didn't have any type of car insurance? Do you have to take him to court to get restitution (sp?) charges?

 

unfortunately you cannot sue the kid, you have to sue his parents. However, since it was hit by someone elses' car, youll have to hit up their insurance.

 

So basically you are ****ed for payment for awhile until it goes through the court system.

 

pretty much. unless the insurance company mans up (like that will happen)

i was told be a very wise man to try to talk to the kids parents about possibly coughing up cash or taking out a loan first.that way we leave the ins. people out of it.if that dont work then i'll try the ins. on the owner of the car.if thier isnt any ins.on the car then i'll have to go through my ins. to get the bike fixed then they will sue the kids parents.sounds like alot of fun huh? oh,to and insult to injury.....sunday......a kid stopped by the house because he was very interested in buying it.nice huh.i took the speedmaster to work that night with the thought that i was for sure going to get into a reck with it.that way i'd be back to no bikes.well i didnt.got no place to go but up now huh. oh and for those that dont know.......the "11" is the one in my avatar.

 

find out what it would cost to fix, then deduct that from what you want for sale price, maybe someone will buy it at the difference. ya never know

 

your not ment to sell it, it was a sign lol...... if my kid ever does that you wouldnt have to worry, i'd pay for the parts to be fixed and then some time and suffering of the loss of a bike.......

 

thats what happens when kids don;t have really parents to beat them around alil when they were younger........if i would have been driving anyones car at 15 my dad would have whooped my ***!!!!!!
