highway 184/H

for all you corner carvers, you better get your kicks out on 184 this weekend, cause they have the signs up for PEA GRAVEL......i don't know how they figure that pea gravel actually helps the road, that road is never going to be the same, always gravel and marbles......i'll gurantee there are going to be some nasty accidents after the gravel that ****er

Re: highway 184/H

That is the worst news that I have heard today. Looks like I will be going north more this year.

Yep, 184 used to be the place to go, but now it's all loose gravel & pickup trucks everywhere. Check out Wildcat mountain up north. That place is some pretty good short stretches too blast on.

Highway 78 off of Highway 12 is also another good spot close by.

Re: highway 184/H

I went through Wildcat mountain this weekend. The roads will never be the same up there again. They went through there with tar strips all over the corners. You can't carry too much speed through the corners at all anymore. If you do get going at a decent pace and hit a strip it will make you feel it. That sucks because that was one of my favorite sections in WI.

I just took 12 back to Madison from the Dells last night. Once the construction is done, that should be kinda fun.

I was thinking the same thing the other weekend. Probably gonna be like Cop Alley through there for awhile.

I know somewhere towards Natural Bridge state park off 12 there's supposed to be some back road that snakes pretty good with very little traffic.
