Two Killed, Six Hospitalized in Car Crash
(Rock County) A 2 year old child and an adult are dead following a crash involving several cars near Janesville.
Initial reports by the Wisconsin State Patrol said two children were killed. The State Patrol issued a change in its report Thursday morning.
It happened on I-90, near Highway 14. The Wisconsin State Patrol 2 year old Yesenia Antonia Montesdeoca and 27 year old Anna Sotelo-Solis were killed in the crash. They were two of seven occupants in a Chevy Corsica involved in the crash.
The State Patrol says that Corsica was driving eastbound on I-90 when it crossed through the median and struck two westbound vehicles.
Five of the seven occupants in the Corsica were thrown from the car. A young child and four adults are in local hospitals with conditions ranging from serious to very critical. The State Patrol says there were no car seats in the car, and no safety belts worn.
A male in a pickup that was hit is in extremely critical condition. The State Patrol says he was not wearing a seat belt.
A third car involved in the accident was carrying two adults and a child. They were in seat belts and car seats, and suffered cuts and abrasions.

Maribel S. Sotelo, 34, of Waukesha, was making an illegal u-turn when she was t-boned, reported WISC-TV in Madison.
Yesenia Antonia Montesdeoca, 2, Anna Sotelo-Solis, 27, were killed in the crash and several were injured when a car Sotelo was driving crossed the median and crashed into a pickup truck and minivan on I-90 between Wisconsin 11 and U.S. 14 around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Montesdeoca and Sotelo-Solis were ejected from the 1994 Chevy Corsica and died at the accident scene, and six other people were taken to a hospital with injuries, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.
Officials said there were seven people in the girls' car and five were ejected when the vehicle crossed the median. They were not wearing seat belts and the young child was not in a child-safety seat, officials said.
Darren A. Reichert, 33, of Jeffereson, who was driving a 1987 Chevy pickup truck was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition. He wasn't wearing a seat belt either, officials said.
Shaskikant Bhatt, 68, of Schaumburg was driving the 1999 Nissan Quest minivan with a woman and a child in a car seat as passengers. They suffered cuts and abrasions. Both adults were wearing seat belts, the State Patrol said.
Traffic was reduced to one lane in both directions during the investigation of the accident. All lanes reopened to traffic just after 7 p.m., said Sgt. Dennis Kruger of the State Patrol.
