I get what Ryan is saying about image riders... what I've found about the Madison Amoco 'gang' here is that I got to Amoco, park my bike and sit on it for 45 min at a time instead of putting miles on it. Like someone said... I bought the bike to ride it. Granted I can't stunt, but personally, I'd still rather be riding it than ****ing sitting on it while it's parked.

In defense of the "Amoco Crew" it goes a little something like this. Earlier, all of us were riding, we would sit at Amoco for maybe 15 minutes before heading out for rides. We used to go through the aboreteum (SP) down the beltline, to the westside, stop off and stunt around somewhere, leave again, go down the beltline, blast down the interstate hit parkway, down east wash and ALL OVER THE ****ING PLACE. Now, people have been handed tons of tickets, bikes are breaking down, all my friends are selling their bikes to pay lawyer fees. Its ridiculous. And video taping and pictures are out of the question. I havent been to Amoco for a couple weeks now. Last time i was there you were up there and I sat for about 30 minutes before going home. Its Damn boring. I miss the riding at night, it used to be fun. I also miss the weekend rides we used to do. It was not unheard of for us to put 250+ miles on. The madison guys I rode with had some REALLY good rides earlier this summer. Everything has fallen apart.

Yes, you see the people sitting up at Amoco now, the guys just waiting for chicks to come up to them for rides. Thats not what the guys i rode with were about. We liked to ride, we liked to park out in the middle of nowhere and stunt (what little we can). It's just everyone i know is not out anymore, you know Dan (GSXR 750), ask him how much we used to go out and ride. Any day that was warm we got out. Its just very discouraging when one ****ing cop has to ruin something that wasnt harming anyone.

And before any madison riders who may sit at amoco now take offense, not all the guys who sit at Amoco now are there for "image", they show up because we have something in common, and we like to talk about it. You have to look at it like going to a sports bar during football season, you like to hang out with people of like interests and talk/argue about the sport.

Im sorry for ranting, but I took offense to your insinuations that all of us who happen to be at Amoco are Image riders. When options are as limited as they are up here, you go where you can to find more riders.

Dave - that comment wasn't directed at you or anyone that went to UG that saturday. You don't have to explain to me about the tickets... I witnessed it that day and have heard about a lot more. Sorry I missed a lot of the better riding earlier in the season - guess I just got hooked up with you guys a little too late.

Ya the bike rolled over my toes and broke 2 on My right foot. other than that it looks alot worse than it seems. The shitty part is that I did the exact same thing two weeks earlier, but we didnt really get it on tape. Live and learn
