Ryan S returns home!
Ryan S returns home!
i can't believe that i'm typing this from my home computer....second i don't understand fully why i'm crying i SHOULD be really happy.....third, if i didn't have the group of friends and all the support that i have had through this experience i would have been in bad shape.
this whole experience was just hard, from using a walker and crutches with a broken collar bone to learning how to remember who was just in the room 10 seconds ago. physically and mentally, i never thought i would be put though this, i graduated college, learned many different stunts on my bike that are super technical, rolled big time distance stoppies, all those are EASY compared to losing a body part and breaking most of your bones on the left side of your body. I'm so thankful for all the people who have supported me, most of all my parents, i'm an only child and they have been tough.
everybody wants to know what this is going to do to my riding career....that bitch that crossed the center line may have taken my left leg and put me through more pain than i knew was possible, but she isn't taking what i live for. i'm going to get 100 percent healed up and make sure my head is straight before i throw a leg over the stunt bike but i'm thinking i'll be ready possibly in feb. or march.
i really want to thank all my close friends though, as small as it may have seemed to come and visit me in the hospital, THATS what pulled me through this. I HAVE THE BEST FRIENDS ANYBODY COULD WISH FOR, BOTTOM LINE. thanks guys for being there for myself and my parents you guys know how thankful i am to be here to clutch it up again.
i will keep you all updated but from here on out it's just time...everyday is a challenge to negotiate small obstacles that before i wouldn't have even thought about....
THANKYOU.

Ryan it is your strength and determination that makes me proud to be your friend. Sometimes in life it takes having a loved one seriously hurt or passing away to make us realize how important the people in our lives are to us. We may not ever understand why things in life happen but along the way of living we tend to learn from the trials and tribulations that are thrown are way. I lost touch of some of the importance that life holds for us over the last few years...but going through all the emotions of being worried about you, keeping up with your updates, visiting with you and just talking with you...I was able to just take some time and realize how important our loved ones are and how short life truly is.
You came into my life only to be photographed one day and I am glad that you remained a part of my life and I look forward to having you as a friend for the rest of my life. I love you like a brother and I am here for you Ryan and I mean that from the bottom of my heart.

I could walk up to a small crowd of people and hear them saying "Hey did you hear what happened to that Ryan S guy?" We hope its somewhat comforting to you to know that A SHITLOAD of people know what happened and are thinkin of you bro. Keep that ****** chin up!

Glad to hear you are home man. Familiar surroundings can be some of the best medicine around. Just don't get lazy on your physical therapy and stuff. I got a little more complacent and lazier than i should have when I was home. But at the same time don't over push yourself. There is a such thing as pushing it too hard. I hope you do great man. This is just gonna be a little speed bump in life. If you need anything at all you got the number bud.

hey, i don't know you, and you don't know me. But I'm glad to hear you're back, you're a true inspiration to all of us. Congrats, maybe someday when I can do something other than a sitdown wheelie and spreader i'll be good enough to have a reason to be out there and i'll meet you someday
