Re: deer ****
You guys aren't in Kansas for sure, it's a lil early for scents around my neck of the woods..... I almost caught a good 4 1/2 yr old from feed to bed this morning, I let him walk last year at around 120-130p-n-y at an estimated 3 1/2 years old. he just was too spindly then. I recognized him out the window the night before in the cut corn from the footage from last year, then he slipped by at 7:15am-ish around 85 yards away through alot of brush and fog..... I'm in some thick **** on the outskirts of their bedroom...(archery tackle of course...aka my mathew's)
got him on vid last year when I let him walk... that's another story though...LOL
Good luck to all this deer season!! I'm gonna start a buck picture thread called Grip-n-grins...... think it'll go far on stuntlife??

Re: deer ****
Sorry about the cheesy pic...LOL they don't really do justice
Mainframe 8, forked G1(brow) made him a 9pt, not my biggest buck......biggest 8 point though I guess...

Last year's Ks buck, that is what I didn't want to shoot, but it was down to the wire, and he was the 4th one P-n-Y like this or smaller that I wouldv'e let walk, pluuuuus I missed one that I had vid of my cameraman missing 2 years ago at 3 1/2 yrs old on Thanksgiving morn... hit a tree 12 yards he was at 13..... some pro huh?
Anyhow this guy was all tore up on his hide, and I never aged his teeth, don't know why, just pegged him to be 3 from the look, but he field dressed weighed like 40lbs maybe lighter than before I gutted him.
You know he was never concerned much with eating, just fighting and findin hot does!!
He was a badass. Ear torn totally in half and healed in two, tons of fresh cuts, old wounds and scars, and not one broken tine..... He came in and I was actually a lil scared, 10 yard shot quartering too.
How do you say no to 10" brow's.....
