Re: Big Rotor....for Big Rotoring...

Get ready to blaze through brake pads! I got the 320mm on my crf motard and I EAT up pads...bad! I think it's because of the small stock caliper and pad size. I want to go to a bigger caliper kit but $$$$$$$... Either way, the 320 feels great, you'll love it! Looks really good, man!

Re: Big Rotor....for Big Rotoring...

that stock rotor lasted for about 4 stoppies, and the wave rotor lasted for maybe 8.......these motard things need dual rotors badly...good thing duker works at a yamaha dealership though LOL

Re: Big Rotor....for Big Rotoring...

Ya i noticed that this caliper only uses about 60% of the actual rotor.....Definetly need a bigger caliper..... I was eatin brake pads with that oversized wave rotor....i can see this thing is gonna be even worse... Oh well

Re: Big Rotor....for Big Rotoring...

can you put another caliper on the same rotor, people do it with hand brakes, why not front brakes?

Re: Big Rotor....for Big Rotoring...

the right caliper and the right rotor is more then enough usually for the weight of a motard... I think the heat issue would be too great with dual calipers on one rotor. I wanna have someone fab me a hub with two rotor mounts, then switch the lower fork tube, and ****in' bango!! you got dual disks up front....like a tunafish...
