Hey PeeWee i don't know you but i'll tell ya this. I went from a brand spankin new 02 R1 to a Gixxer 1000 to my 900RR now. My Gixxer would stomp the R1 and i still got rid of it. I don't even like 900's, BUT they are reliable. What are you getting scared cuz the older motors like mine and yours blow up? From what you say your not pushing it anyway, so....
I don't stunt really, but you'll never see chicken strips on my tires.
I can do anything on the 900 that i could do on the R1 or Gixxer 1000. And it costed less then half.

that motor is cashed.... its all knockin and **** and oil is gettin on 2 of the spark plugs and foulin them out sometimes....

 

that is stock for 93-99 it is an optional oil injection pump so you dont run it out of lubrication in a long wheelie
