Re: Confused!!!!!help

I wouldn't necessarily give up the bike so easily, here's why:

1. When you sell the bike, it's ten times as difficult to come up with a downpayment and stuff to get back on a bike again if you choose too.

2. I'm assuming most of your friends ride. They will continue to ride with or without you, most likely. You'll fall out of the social loop.

3. You will have time that you'll get bored, and either get a woman, start drinking, or become depressed. I got rid of my bike once for a variety of really good reasons, and proceeded to get burned out at my job, get married, and be miserable. So, my husband bought me a bike for my birthday, filed for divorce a month later, and I changed jobs. Now living happily ever after!

4. There were reasons you started riding. Those are the same reasons you still will want to ride. Maybe not as often, maybe in a different riding style, but there's still an emotional attachment to riding.

5. Because you can pick up chicks easier on a bike!

Reason to sell the bike:

1. Expensive hobby. But so are anti-depressants, alcohol, and WOMEN!

2. Could buy a house/condo/property instead. Have fun sitting in it. I'll be out riding!

3. Safety. Oops, your shoe's untied, too...

Re: Confused!!!!!help

Ok andy....... You are good at stunting so the question isnt do you want to stop riding its do you want to stop stunting? Hell you honestly think I bought this damn fiddy to sit around? come beside you can play the drinking game anytime and you dont need to worry about the women thing, your cute enough already . You have mad skillz but i can see your point bout wanting it to be fun again like the hanging out and stuff like last summer cause that was that **** ..... but there is a month till stuntfest and you should wait till after then to make up your mind win or lose you still go out on top, besides you have to come back for longest coaster.............

Re: Confused!!!!!help

I say try to take it back old school and just ride to ride man. I tried not having a bike and I went nuts. I couldn't even take a year of not riding. But I have noticed I'm not as gung ho about it as I used to be. Alot of that is because the "scene" has eroded so much. Man we all used to have some good times out on the streets and it seems nobody wants to ride the streets together as much anymore. But anywho Andy you got mad ridin skills so I think you would find it too hard to just totally walk away. Just try ridin normal man.....

Yep. I doubt there will ever be friday and sat night group rides like there was in the late 90s. Was fun "terrorizing" the east and west sides with Kevins "courses". Then we'd head out for a long ride out in the sticks. head up to Madison, Lake Geneva and anywhere else.

Hell now its a chore just to get a ride together with my little group. ITs either too cold, too hot, too tired and such. Unless I get my HD, I doubt I'll be putting 12K-15K miles a year on a bike again.

Re: Confused!!!!!help

If its cuz your worried about the coaster comp this year, dont worry, I will give you a chance. I will only take a 200ft approach and you can take the full 400ft. dont be scart.

Come ride the streets Heavy!

I had so much fun last year stealing bikes from Shogrizz that I actualy bought one (or 2) this year.

I do have to say this year has sucked bad, there is never anyone out riding and last year there were groups of like 20 every time I rode with ya.

Re: Confused!!!!!help

And who could forget the insane cruise night of '99 with the bleach pit in front of the mall? That was definately the best cruise night ever!

The Ave. has sucked since about '03. I remember when the whole curb by Lion's was lined with bikes from the corner to the driveway for the Janesville Plaza, and everyone talked about going on a ride, but it was usually 5 more minutes till we left. Those were the days! Now you're lucky to see a couple bikes around. Gay!
