why does everyone give the victims the benifit of the doubt?? 
...maybe they did (or appear like they were going to) shoot first...but even at that ...that only "justifies" one of vangs shootings in self defense.....and maybe the 2 on the quad.....it sounded like he had intensions of firing at vang....I'm not sayin he shouldn't have... I would of been ready to fire as well but chasing him on a quad & stopping in FRONT of him...not the way I'd gone about it.....at any rate he flipped out for whatever reason and I hope he sits for a LONG LONG time...(the rest of his life comes to mind)

I am a believer of capital punishment or the judicial system like some other countries. You steal something and get caught they cut off your hand. You steal again they cut off the other hand. If you are able to steal again they cut off your head.

while I hear ya and agree to some extent.....what is a worse punishment...death in about 6yrs.....or a life sentence w/ some hardcore prisoners...kepp in mind this guy is like 5'4" and 145 # one word comes to mind for prison....GIRLFRIEND!!!

my boss and i looked up several of the articles around the state reguarding this story... one of them states that two men in the group worked at the same place (car dealership if im not mistaken) and that either mas was not racist, that they did not like people using racial slurs or vulgar language and would no tolarate it in thier presence, if someone continued to use language of that sort they would not be associated with that person...
it got us to wondering if that was all vang could think of as an excuse for his actions... the guy was an ex army sniper that deserted... if that gives you any indication of his mental state...
i just hope he doesnt get away with pleading insanity
on a side note someone else in northern wisconsin was beaten over his trying to kick someone off of his land...
wtf is this world coming too...
i live in not quite up north land and it makes me nervous any time i see a vehicle go down the access road to my neighbors land... especially ones that i dont recognize...

Coyote, where did you hear that he deserted the army? Mil records state he was in clerical in the NG and had his sharpshooters medal. He also had an honorable discharge. Not exactly someone who deserted would get.

yes they r lookin at him for one a few yrs back...3 asians seen in area earlier and leavin in a truck (with a description) that fits vangs...I hadn't heard about any matches to a gun or bullets but maybe they got one out of the guy...b.t.w. the other guy (2 yrs. back) was shot in the back twice and as I am sure alot of others on here know the sks rifle he was using takes the same round as an AK47
