Re: eric, this bud's for you

it was only 6 1/2 hours, and they did have a coaster comp binder, but it was sit downs , sorry man, the only thing i know to bust ya ballz about.....

it was well worth the trip, i atleast came back with a FREE leather jacket cuz this fatboy can run....:YEAH .... too bad i had to beat graham to it... ....

it was stiff competition, so eric did a really good job just to place....... i lost a burnout on my run and lost 10 points within the first ten seconds of it for it..... so i knew i was out..... Pretty sure the whole track heard me say F@ck......lol.... everyone that qualified had sweet, smooth runs....

graham did a good job representing with his one handed HC's, he got mad props for riding the whole damn track old school like that ....

overall it was well worth the trip, even if just for the memories....

sitdown coaster comp? when did they change it? it was advertised as off peg.

either way, my sitdowns are only about the 900 foot mark. i can't max out my short coaster practice spot yet on sitdowns. i would have gotten destroyed cause some of those guys can really rock sitdowns

Re: eric, this bud's for you

coasters themselves aren't really hard...it's when you get that monster distance or you go for long distance on short run.

whatever you do, when you start practicing, use a gear higher than you normally would use. learning coasters with high rpm is recipe for bad things to happen. so if you want to try at like 15mph, use second gear instead of first so you aren't high rpm first which would cause a huge mousetrap if you make a mistake.

ah, it takes time. you'll get the hang of them.

safest way to make a mistake is to let it fall too far back and tap the bar. that's way easier to fix than hitting the brakes too hard.

Re: eric, this bud's for you

usually i either use too much brake, and mouse trap it, and then like a dummy let go of the clutch shooting the bike back up lol it's SQUIDLY 4-SURE... and you could prob tell im scared of them if i was to try them... BUT im wanting to learn them
