dont know if it will help you, but i got them in like 4-5 tries after i got lucky once.... i just go into merk step..... put 1 foot in the seat to the side your going to circle to, and bounce it around a few times useing the gas, and not idle (i run my idle LOW around 2grand) then i just got it to where i could pick my foot up and BAM.... figured them out, but still cant put both feet in the seat, or make them look good, but im happy for now.

Re: progression

coasters are easy's...

well foot brake coasters... lol

o yeah... in light of your recent progresion vid paul. i went out in aim to destroy my biek learining Os..

i suceeded. i can get an o or 2 around. and bent my wheel and rotor, tweaked my subframe. and broke my exhaust. lol.

it definetly clicked and im putting my gearing on to make it easier and more forgiving on when to gas.

ya, short ones are cake.....1000+ and 500+ SS take a little work.

paul, i need to pimp slap you. i tried working with them tonight, highside after highside after highside. I could get 1 around if i stepped down onto my left foot, but it really wasn't that great. for some reason i just can't get past 180 on those. i was doing a lot better on my standup circles, getting them around 2 or more times, but those SS are beating me down. i can't come in and do just a wide circle, mine always go in real tight then get super fast and can't do **** about it.

about coasters, to start them off easy just bring the bike to balance and when you get that falling part of the balance pull the clutch in and stay off the brake, once it rocks back a ways then just barely put pressure on the brake. that's the safe way to do them. then you get crazy and throw them back hardcore when you are pinned in 4th gear

Re: progression

ya, light on the brake is the key. for learning coasters that are smooth and grabbing the clutch already at the balance point, you want to barely touch the brake. then all that bullshit goes out the window when you get comfortable and start going for some serious distance. i run high PSI for coasters in my rear tire too.

Re: progression

damn.... that **** helped me out BIG TIME... just got in from riding... got 6 ss's in (my record) and they are SMOOTHER! cant get them EVERY time, but im getting alot more consistent with them (trying to get the hang of droppign them in w/out putting a foot down first) <-- putting the foot down made it soooo easy... it sets the lean angle for you, and once the front drops just blip the gas, and it raises the front back up..... dont know why you would be highsiding uless you arent getting that lean angle, or are straightening the bike back up instead of keeping the lean???????????

my brake skills suck... it doesnt know the meaning of EASY lol

Re: progression

ya, my lean angle isn't the greatest, i either go too far in and it gets super fast and i jump off or when i blip the throttle to raise the front end it throws me off the side.
