Fallen rider

Details are sketchy... so I'm only going to say what I know. A fellow co worker at Action was in a pretty nasty accident last night. His passenger is in critical condition, and last I heard, the odds were against her making it. He's also in critical condition, but has been coherent (in and out). Right now the important thing is to keep the family and Bryan and his passenger in your thoughts.

Re: Fallen rider

It's weird... there hasn't been a newspaper article.. so everything I know is coming from someone else. Bryan is coherent and talking now, but has pretty serious head injuries. The passenger has been in and out of numerous surgeries, and from what I've heard, her head injuries are really bad. (I heard the phrase "her brain separated", but I don't know from what or if it will heal). From what I've been told, there was alcohol involved and no helmets.

This, is not suprising hearing of their injuries. One of the great things about MI is the helmet law.

Yah, but we have an alcohol law hear, and it doesn’t seam to work. And, it’s a shame to involve a passenger when drinking is involved. No good will ever come in these situations.

All the same, hopefully all will recover.

Count me out for ever moving there ..... That's MY decision, not some politician who's never been on a bike

Head injuries are tough. I've lost a friend outright to them, got one still fighting, and lost one in a battle.

So... I guess the passenger made the choice to hop on "to make sure he made it home ok". The logic that goes out the window when one has consumed alcohol amazes me....
