Whats up with the Lafayette Riders????

Slow is how all riding, stunting, everything goes around lafayette. All bikes are around here is a lazy boy nothing else. It's so sad we use to have 40 to 50 bikes out every night now we get 5 on a sat. I think we need to trade all bikes in on a snail. All the fighting between each others is gay get over it and ride. The people that are like I'm getting married, I got a new girlfreind having a child, a dog, a cow, a snip, what ever else u can think off make no sence. You met each other riding why would stop doing the thing you both like makes no sence. And for the people the are like i can get killed that can happen any time doing anything like just getting out of the shower, driving to work, (punching the clown ) All I'm saying is get off your a-- and do something. I have to do something to lite a fire under lafayette's a--.

I can honestly say I don't agree with 1/2 your post. I only remembered rare occasions when we had more than 20 bikes per night. Priorities change for different people. I don't blame(Especially the Benton County ppl) for not wanting to come all the way into town to only have a few people out to ride with. Here's something you should think about, is establishing a specific bike-night with a local business(IE Discount Den or Taco Bell ) That way people will know when everyones going out.

I will agree, I don’t get out as much these days due to working all the time, but you know if you want to play, you got’s ta be able to pay. But, when I ado get out, it is rare to see more than about 4 or 5 familiar faces, and usually the new faces try to run away from me, I don’t understand that, but it did happen to me about 2 weeks ago, I was hurt…. really.

I know that there are more bikes in Lafayette than ever before, but you see less and less people riding them. It’s like everybody buys them and just cleans them and then won’t ride them for fear of getting them dirty. People wine if they get a scratch on the new bike form swinging a boot over the tail section, come on knock it off the kickstand, just to dust the new off of it, and let’s ride.

Re: Whats up with the Lafayette Riders????

Um, I honestly just don't have the time this year. I made the move to rebuild my 1k engine because of mileage (and yes, if I didn't rebuild it, I wouldn't be riding by now anyway because I would have spun a bearing and I don't have the $$ to buy a LEGIT engine, and won't go low enough to purchase one that somebody jacked). Um, the house thingy....yeah, marriage thingy....I mean, we would have time, but then again I'm going back to the house thingy. Other things u started the thread with-fighting- I don't have beef with anybody, (mainly because I havn't rode with stupid squids trying to imitate me). Marriage elaboration-Jodi and I still dearly love to ride, and will do so in the future, even if that means '06 season-we have no personal bikes for sale. We just have been working our butts off, not sitting on them, trying to save $$ doing stuff ourselves whenever possible. And for getting killed.... I ride according to the conditions, and I'm always looking out for others who aren't paying attention. The thought of getting injured or worse is still pale in comparison to riding, whether it be locking down a new trick, or a sunday afternoon cruise. Now bear with me-I know you know what I'm saying, and don't take it any other way-, but I'm going to go out on a limb here..... maybe its me..... I can tell that it's something, but I'm not sure if its that 'CHILDRESS' and the Benton County Boys are not out as much. I am not saying it's me, but Cappy was gone for awhile, and most of the public stunting(albeit pale in comparison to what is currently going on in the stunt scene) was done by me, or Ryan, or both. There HAS TO BE a certain level of something, whatever you call it, excitement, atmosphere, whatever to keep everyone together and entertained. Whether it be Rockin' a standup down 231 until I just got bored or pulling sky high stoppies at redlights, It just hasn't happened this year from what I'm hearing. Make no mistake, Lafayette will survive, and we will take whats left of '05 and look forward to 2006. I am looking forward to seeing everyone out for the Timmy ride. Spread the word. DO IT!

P.S. I'm also going to toss in a word for Kenny, who moved to Florida for M.M.I. bike school, but is also lockin' down some serious stuff. He'll be back, and I'm actually somewhat intimidated just talking to him anymore

How could you forget my mad stunna skillz beotch How I do miss the nights at the hill where the notorious Cowbike Mike would always ask the newbie "Hey can I ride you bike around the block" So many memories to list for sure I might never return to LAF(Permanently, but will be there on occasion), but I can never forget all the great times and experiences I had with you all.

Re: Whats up with the Lafayette Riders????

I understand why some people aren’t out these days, and I understand.

Mike, while, it would be nice to see you out and about, I fully understand why you have been dormant. Motors don’t grow on trees, weddings don’t plan themselves, and houses, just don’t pop up on their own. You are excused.

And, for the arguing, and what not, I guess I am out of the loop on a lot because I work all the time, and miss most of the drama. But, I do see it when we are out and there is more than 5 bikes, there usually are 3 or 4 groups of people just keeping too themselves. What’s this mean? I don’t know.

All I know is that the season is getting shorter by the day, and I intend to enjoy it wile it lasts. I do, however, regret that due to actions and consequences, I will be working more than I wanted to, to cover some unwanted expenses. And, I will have to be locking myself in the garage for a few days in the near future, but it’s only because I have to get some things done, in hopes of paying all the bills. So, it’s very likely that I will only be seen late at night, and possibly on some Sundays, but if anyone sees me out, feel free to tag along. I am impossible to miss, and I only bit cretin people.

I do not fear death, as much as I fear not having lived life.
