For Sale - 89 Caprice (need a winter ride?)
For Sale…1989 Chevrolet Caprice, $1000 (FIRM)
This car has been my daily driver and has been driven 22K miles over the last three years. This is due to my motorcycle being my daily driver during the Spring, Summer and early Fall. I had driven the car regularly between River Rouge and Livonia for classes and recently, back and forth to Troy for work with no major issues. The car has 160K miles and is currently not being driven.
Vehicle History - car purchased in October 7, 2003.
10/8/03 – major tune-up (ignition wires, plugs, distributor cap/rotor, PCV, fuel filter, front pads, front rotors, rear brake shoes cleaned/adjusted).
10/18/03 – new ignition coil and module replaced.
12/18/03 – new flow master dual exhaust installed, straight pipe from the manifolds back.
1/10/04 – new alternator.
1/11/04 – new battery (AC Delco).
4/15/04 – new shocks (front and rear), new front sway bar link, and new right front caliper.
2/16/05 – torque converter bolts replaced. Car sat from December 05 to February 06 because I thought the trans went out. I didn’t have the loot for a rebuild until February only to find out the bolts backed out. This also confirmed that the trans was replaced by the previous owner. I was told by the previous owner that the trans had been replaced but not sure how many original miles are on it. It has at least the 22K I’ve driven on it.
I recently (within the last two months) replaced the serpentine belt and front pads.
I have receipts for everything mentioned. I performed all oil changes myself. Included in the sale is a Chilton’s service manual and a few miscellaneous parts.
