I am laughing at Leanlow, not cause of the avatar... Just the original ?..

The SV is an awkward bike to wheelie I found. As soon as I got on the GIXXER I preferred the b p much better. However I also have tons moer hp to compensate my shitty *** balance... Keep trying, second is all ya need

Re: Wheelies at high speed??!!??

My SV with a 47T rear sprocket will come up in third up to about 70-80 km.. then i can ride em out to redline.. I have managed to shift into 4th a couple times but my skills arent the best yet. It doesnt struggle very much to come up if i am on the rear pegs, but on the front ones its tough.
With stock gearing 2nd gear wheelies were alot harder, and third for me were impossible.

I love my bike for stuntin, but you really have to be concerned about spinning a front bearing due to oil starvation. I have talked to a few ppl on the net who this happened.. they all say it happened after an exteneded wheelie. So you gotta keeep your oil high.

For all those who doubt the SV stuntin capabilties check out this video.

Re: Wheelies at high speed??!!??

Nope... either increase the back or lower the front. Not much point in doing both unless u are going for an EXTREME change.. I keep it jsut above full. But having alot of oil doent mean nothing can happen to your motor

Re: Wheelies at high speed??!!??

For gearing I would go +5 in the back, and buy a -1 for the front. If the -1 in front is too much, just put the stock one back on. They're only $40-$50 and you can keep the same chain switching back and forth between the front sprocket.

Re: Wheelies at high speed??!!??

From just adding 2 in the back my bike changed completely.. Since i have only 1 bike to commute, stunt and free ride i can't change the gearing anymore or she will jsut rev way to high on the freeway. I opted to go for a new rear because i heard a smaller front sprocket will wear a chain faster.

i have compared my gearing with a couple other ppl that ride sv's and their stock sprockets on the back were larger, although theirs were 2001 and 02...i wouldnt have thought suzuki woulda changed the spprocket size over the years tho

and do you have any pics of ur bike, cosue u have the full fairing on it right?
