That bar end mirror will get destroyed the first time you drop the bike. If it'll get you past a safety, great. But don't leave it on. You cannpt get tickets for the bar/bage etc, just pulled over and hassled. Only problem you'll have is cruising the highway with a geared up bike. My R1 revs like a **** @ 140 km/h.

You will however be entertained by the people in cars and guys on nice bikes cehcking out your POS stunter. Rabo and I used to park our **** @ cycle world right out front all the time just to watch people crowd around at cringe.

Re: useing a stuntbike as a daily rider

I plan on it also.......i'm building up an F4i as a street/stuntbike.....i'm bored to death with the whole lot thing so i think i'm hitting the streets...

I don't plan on stopping for nothing....

Just make sure ur bike is straight and tight and the rest is history!!!

Can't wait!!!

The only thing that might suck is the gearing,it's only a 600 and with any decent sized gear it's gonna be tricky to leave the po-po!!!

O well there's always the lot if the worst happens!!!

(corpse i think i know you? did we ride 50's in Ottawa?)

Re: useing a stuntbike as a daily rider

I can not ****en wait untill next season now that it looks like we'll have more guys out killin the streets! I love trying to learn the technical slow stuff in the lot, but the most fun Ive had all year would have to be joining in on group rides....

Just chill out and wait untill someone tries something then its on and you end up wheeling down the highway with a pack of 30+ people following you Ruff Rider style I dont think were welcome on any more group rides so well have to put together our own rides.....

As far as what your bike looks like Ive had cops break ***** about my dented tank and not even say a word about my cage and bar........so its all in the luck off the draw you might get a reasonable cop but you'll most likely end up with some ***** thats just itching to write up every ticket in the book....

Re: useing a stuntbike as a daily rider

If you use stunt gearing you can't lose popo on the highway, but with around 180km top end they won't getcha on the streets, unless you break, crash, or they run into you. No mirrors = Surprise .

Other problems might include keeping up with other street bikes, turning corners with low air pressure (unless going really slow), always needing fuel because of high revs due to gearing and reduced capacity due to beat in tank. You don't want to leave popo on empty.

If your stunting, at some point you will probally have at least one blown fork seal with brake fluid leaking onto your brakes (this will drastically reduce stopping power).

A crash cage will limit your lean angle, so no fast ramps.
Your speedo will not be acurate if you change your gearing.
If you don't run you will pay for those that run!!

Re: useing a stuntbike as a daily rider

You gota be smart when you run. I used to run all of the time, but not anymore. A few things I learn't is... Never make your first right hand turn.. Its a fact that 90% of people running will make their first right hand. Try to make as many lefts as possible. Know your advantages, you can out brake and out accelerate them. So dont worry about making corners at mach-10 chances are you will crash. Just brake hard, corner slow, get it sqaured up and get back on the gas.. Also you can fit in area's that they can't, so find a walkway to sqeeze through. Traffic also works great. Best time to run is rush hour. Split some traffic going slow.. Fact is the chase should last no more then a minute. Its not about going fast, its about being smart.. If the ghetto bird is on you head to underground parking in a mall, ditch the bike and walk away.. You cant outrun the chopper, i tried.. So get underground..They will get your bike but they wont beable to prove it was you ridding in court. They had a pig try to say he 100% id'd me with my fingerprints on the bike and all my gear sitting beside the bike which was still warm, and it never stuck in court. Hope this helps the next time you have to bounce..

Im doing the exact same thing with my 900rr. I just moved to toronto from NS and I hear that it's a lot harder to pass inspection here. Which acerbis light do you have? I have the diamond and im not sure if you need high/low
beam to pass.

I've only got the money for one bike so my pos F4i is my daily driver too. I switch my back sprocket for lot stuff. it only takes me about 10 mins. for stuff on the road you dont need anything but stock. most of the stuff u be doin is fast coasters, speaders and highchairs and stuff like that. that way u can leave the cop behind too.
