how do I unhook a layover sensor on gxsr 1000

how do I unhook a layover sensor on gxsr 1000
my buddy is trying to unhook his tipover sensor (if thats what its called) on his 2001 gsxr1000. everytime he tries to lay it over to do a burnout it keeps dieing. anyone know how?

hopefully you know where it is. if not, it is under the front the the passenger seat. Pull off the cover, and rapp the wring with electrical tape. (I think it is a ring) and tape so it does not move around. Good to go
