some people are having problems when downloading the files. if they come up as a text file, simply right click and save as and then change the file extension to .avi and they will play fine.

i cant figure out why its doing that, but who knows?

yea, you need to specify the file extension in the name, i.e. major.avi.. if you just have it as "major" web browsers will try to open it as a directory, which will cause it to be text-based.

i downloaded the files, but i cannot, however, view them.. i seem to be missing the appropriate codec.. what did you use to encode them? thx.

chris, if you're using windows, oftentimes the file extension cant just be changed by right click --> rename.

you COULD open it as a text file (bunch of crap code) and then rename it by saving as.. and then clicking from "text doc" to "all files" and saving it as whaterver.avi .... but the file may take forever to open since notepad wasnt meant to open 6MB files.. so i would suggest...

put the document in your c:\ drive. (double click my computer, then double click c: and drag it to there from the desktop)

now, click start menu, click run..

then type "cmd" if you are windows2000 or NT4 --or-- type "dosprmpt" if you are win95/win98/winME/winXP. hit enter.

then type...

ren c:major.txt major.avi

hit enter. (or if the file was minor.txt, type that instead and hit enter). that will rename the file extension for you.

lemme know if you have any trouble.
