Looking for a local IT job...
No, not ARE you looking for a local IT job.
I am looking for a local IT job.
WorldCom laid off about 3000 IT positions today worldwide and our Tampa offices got hit pretty hard too......so......I am unemployed!
I liked my job too.....most of the time.
If anyone knows of anything, get ahold of me, I will be updating my resume over the weekend for sure. Severance doesn't last forever, especially less than 3 weeks before Christmas.
I posted this at CF also, Bruce, Ryan, Jimmy, anyone else that may have something open where they are at or might know of other people that may have positions available, please ask around.

Sorry to here...
We will be hiring here in January....sources told me. Do you still have that application I give you awhile back? If so fill it out and I will hand it to me manager with a good referal. I won't gaurantee you the best hours, however the pay and benefits are great. It's one of those jobs that you don't necessary enjoy...but it pays the bills type of job

Damn anthony.... that sux. My brother in law charlie was one of 2 people left in his department over there (sun/linux admin). At least he was last weekend.....
He has been looking ever since they started talking about layoffs months ago and hasnt found much in the area.
There is word that they are hiring an extra head at my work in the software support department in the near future. I dont know what kind of qualifications they are looking for but i could ask if you want me to?
Now that you have some free time on your hands....... you wanna help me straighten out the rear subframe on my f3 since I know you are a pro after helping cbrguy :D? I would gladly pay you for your time....

Anthony, sorry to hear about you losing your job. I hope you get another one real soon.
I am looking for a position in IT also, I have been since May when I moved here from MN. The economy is bad all around, and YES in Florida too.

Not sure if I am qualified for the position you are talking about but I am willing to hear about any job I may qualify for, I just need to try and not take a pay cut, that is the hardest part. I know with Jimmy's company that is not likely an issue. Let me know though, I seriously appreciate it!
Is that CBR still messed up??? I told you to let me see it and I'll help you out. Le tme know when and I will come see it, sometime after this tuesday, my wife will be going away on vacation and I will have some free time.

Charlie made it through that round of layoffs luckily, but they are talking about moving whats left of his department to virginia and my sister doesnt wanna move. Perfect timing since they are just finishing building a house in new tampa.
As for the job the other guy doing it has a networking degree from itt with a focus on nt networking. Our company makes a software suite that compliments our products. It is basically installing the software and helping our customers fix problems they create in their database. If you are familiar with databases, and microsoft products you should be all set.
As for the pay, i dunno what you are making so i dont know if it would be comparable.
I will let you know when i hear for sure.
As for the f3, well i got lazy then bored.... I bought a 2001 929 and well the repair process for the f3 was put on the back burner. I sent the 929 off to be painted, so i started working on the f3 again
