Its official!
SURGERY
found out today that my knee problem has been my a torn or streached ACL, and a torn maniscus
so ill be out riding the next coulpe of weeks alot just to make up for all the time im gonna be out
oh and some time while im out im getting the rod taken out of my femur too.

why you getting the rod taken out? dont they usuallt leave those in?

well yes you can leave the rod in but the doc says since im still real active in riding, snowboarding stuff like that i should have it removed just incase i break my femur again. he said it would be a mess to deal with if the rod bent or broke in the bone. just as a saftey kinda thing

gotcha... yeah if that rod bends how the heck would they get it out?!?!
will your femur be as strong as it was even before the accident?

hell yeah! they took more x-rays yeasterday and you should have seen how much more bone grew around where the break was. so the doctor said id be stronger
and the bone and what ever else will grow back in were the rod was so it should be good and strong Registered User
